Hearing the commotion, the servants rushed out.

Yu Guiwan blinked as she watched Yu Yunshu bump her head on the coffee table and fall to the ground, and said innocently, “Little sister, don’t wear such high heels next time, they’re easy to slip.”

Unable to speak due to the unbearable pain, Yu Yunshu was inconsolable.

She looked at Yu Guiwan with resentment.

Yu Guiwan glanced at her swollen forehead and the faint sound of her ankle dislocating that she had just heard.

She raised an eyebrow and smiled, then casually left the living room.

This little bit of hardship is enough to give Yu Yunshu, who has been pampered since childhood, a real hardship.

Her furious voice could still be heard behind her.

“What are you bunch of useless trash doing standing there? Aren’t you going to come and help me up?”

The servants rushed forward in a flurry.

The Yu family did not restrict her comings and goings.

This also made things convenient for Yu Guiwan.

The Yu family’s villa is located in the southern suburbs.

The environment is quiet, but it is also far from the city center.

Yu Guiwan slowly walked out of the villa area, walked along the roadside for a while until she could no longer see the villa area, and then took out her phone to hail a taxi.

The vehicle drove into the city.

It stopped in front of a coffee shop.

Yu Guiwan politely said thank you before getting out of the car.

She walked in knowing the way inside.

The shop assistants all seemed to know her and weren’t surprised by her appearance.

Yu Guiwan walked straight through the coffee shop, went up the stairs, leaned against the wall in front of the closed door, and lazily knocked on the door.

A moment later, the door opened from the inside.

The man who appeared was handsome and refined, wearing a white shirt and suit pants.

At first glance, I thought he was the president of some company.

In fact, he is the owner of this coffee shop.

She is also a psychologist.

Upon seeing the person outside the door, his gentle demeanor softened, and he stepped aside to make way for them.

“You’ve arrived?”

Yu Guiwan responded lazily and went inside.

The door was then closed.

Inside, there was a combined office and lounge.

Xiaoyan told me that you’ve finished your medicine.

After Yu Guiwan sat down, Song Yanjun walked to the office chair opposite her and sat down.

Yu Guiwan hummed in agreement, “I just finished eating.”

Upon hearing this, Song Yanjun’s brow twitched. “The medication has stopped?”

His tone betrayed a hint of fear.

“without.”

Hearing this answer, Song Yanjun breathed a sigh of relief, and then took out several bottles of unlabeled medicine from the locked drawer.

“It’s still a month’s supply.”

He took out a bag, packed the contents, and placed it aside.

“How’s your sleep lately? Is it better than when you were in Yunling Town?”

Yu Guiwan blinked her clear, bright eyes, looking incredibly well-behaved.

But Song Yanjun knew that this was not the real her.

“It’s alright,” Yu Guiwan replied succinctly.

She was already used to not being able to sleep.

Song Yanjun frowned. “I’ll ask Dean Chu if there are any effective sleeping pills available recently.”

Over the past ten years, Yu Guiwan has tried many kinds of sleeping pills, but very few of them have been effective.

Yu Guiwan didn’t even raise her eyebrows, and obediently hummed in agreement.

As is customary, Song Yanjun inquired about her condition before handing over the medicine.

“If anything happens, remember to call me.”

Yu Guiwan paused as she took the medicine.

Song Yanjun added, “It was Xiaoyan’s order.”

Yu Guiwan, carrying the bag, hummed in agreement, “Okay.”

“Shall I take you downstairs?”

“Need not.”

Even after being rejected, Song Yanjun still followed a few steps behind her, seeing her downstairs.

The shop assistants were used to seeing this scene.

He even said to Yu Guiwan, “Miss Yu, your favorite salted egg yolk molten Basque cake is freshly baked, would you like a piece?”

Yu Guiwan stopped in her tracks and looked at the cake display case, where a yellow cake was indeed placed.

She walked over slowly and stared at the cake for a few seconds.

The shop assistant looked at her with a doting expression.

Seeing this, Song Yanjun’s lips twitched slightly.

This big shot looks incredibly deceptive.

Yu Guiwan tilted her head slightly, thought for a moment, and said, “Two pieces.”

“good.”

The clerk responded and took out two pieces to pack them up.

Yu Guiwan added, “Let’s eat here together, and let’s pack some leftovers.”

“OK.”

“Thanks.”

Yu Guiwan turned around to find a seat, but saw Song Yanjun behind her.

She raised an eyebrow slightly. “Do you want some too?”

Song Yanjun glanced at the sweet and salty Basque and shook his head violently.

This is not his preferred flavor.

Yu Guiwan said with a hint of regret, “Then I’ll eat it myself.”

Then she walked past Song Yanjun and found a seat by the window.

Song Yanjun: “…”

The coffee shop is located on a street corner in the city.

The window seat offers a view of the bustling traffic outside.

Many precious flowers were carefully planted beside the window.

Yu Guiwan glanced lazily at the flowers that could be used in medicine and then looked away.

If she were to pull out these flowers, Song Yanjun would probably go crazy.

The girl rested her face on one hand and sighed silently, seemingly with some regret.

A short while later, the staff brought over a piece of Basque cake and a drink.

Yu Guiwan turned her head, glanced at the cup, and said in a soft voice, “Sister, I don’t drink coffee.”

The clerk seemed to already know, and smiled, “It’s not coffee, it’s not bitter, it’s roasted milk, it’s sweet.”

Yu Guiwan politely said thank you, picked up a small fork, scooped out a piece of cake, and put it in her mouth.

The sweet and salty flavors filled my mouth.

Her brows relaxed considerably, and she quickly took a bite.

…

A black Maybach was parked on the opposite side of the road.

The rear window was directly facing the window seat.

There sat a man with an air of refined elegance.

He was wearing a black shirt and an expensive watch on his wrist. He tilted his head slightly and looked intently out the car window.

Anyone who didn’t know better would think he was looking at the scenery outside.

But his confidant in the driver’s seat knew he wasn’t.

The man’s eyes held a mixture of restraint and greed as he gazed at the obedient-looking girl sitting by the window.

This scene is peaceful yet extremely desirable.

Unlike the scene in my mind, which was filled with screams and panic.

The difference is, she’s still here.

He still has time.

The man suddenly spoke up, “How many more days?”

The confidant paused for a moment, then subconsciously replied, “Two days.”

The man hummed in agreement. “Two more days.”

In two more days, she will be back by his side.

And he will protect her.

The confidant hesitated for a few seconds, then asked, “Sir, aren’t you going in?”

He didn’t quite understand why Jiang Yuhuai had arrived so early and was just waiting across from the coffee shop without going in.

Jiang Yuhuai reluctantly withdrew his gaze, the tenderness in his eyes vanished, leaving only indifference and aloofness.

“She’s timid; we can’t scare her.”

His confidant choked.

Aren’t you afraid of scaring her away on the day you get your marriage certificate?

Jiang Yuhuai narrowed his eyes, as if he had remembered something, “Jiang Dong, have you prepared the things I asked you to prepare?”

His trusted confidant was named Jiang Dong.

He nodded. “Everything has been prepared according to your instructions.”

Jiang Yuhuai hummed in agreement, rested his elbow on the handrail, and turned his gaze back to the car window, a smile playing on his lips.

Wanwan, I said we would meet again.

We will definitely meet again.

…

In the coffee shop.

Yu Guiwan quietly ate her cake.

She had already noticed a gaze fixed on her from the other side.

Moreover, he had been watching her for a long time.

However, the gaze did not cause any discomfort.

She just couldn’t be bothered to pay attention.

If she had to deal with everyone who came to keep an eye on her, wouldn’t she be exhausted?

He ate the cake on the plate bite by bite, finishing it very cleanly.

He even drank the whole cup of roasted milk.

Then he picked up the packaged cake box from the table and left the coffee shop.
