- Chapter 6 - The Dance Studio Showdown
Tang Sui paid no attention to Qiao Ling and walked straight toward Song Fanxing.
Four girls immediately stepped in front of Song Fanxing, blocking Tang Sui’s path with emotionless expressions.
Looking at them calmly, Tang Sui asked in a casual tone,
“Are you helping her take a bath?”
Nalan looked at her coldly.
“You’ll be next.”
Tang Sui smiled faintly.
“Really?”
Her voice remained gentle, but there was something unsettling beneath it.
“To be honest… I’m a little unhappy too.”
After all, they had been tormenting her precious source of food. What if they ruined it?
Unlike Tang Sui, who never looked back, Song Fanxing had been watching Qiao Ling the entire time.
The moment she saw Qiao Ling quietly raising a baseball bat behind Tang Sui, her heart nearly stopped.
“Tang Sui!”
“Behind you!”
“Don’t worry,” Tang Sui replied calmly.
At that instant, Qiao Ling swung the bat down with all her strength.
“You dirty little thief! This is your punishment for contaminating my little cutie!”
Seeing the bat descending toward Tang Sui’s head, Song Fanxing’s nerves tightened to the breaking point.
“Tang Sui! Move!”
Tang Sui merely tilted her head.
The bat missed its target by inches.
Then, with one hand, she effortlessly caught it.
“That was close,” she said with a smile.
“Good thing I dodged.”
Song Fanxing stared blankly.
She couldn’t process what she had just witnessed.
Tang Sui’s seemingly delicate arms had stopped a full-force swing without difficulty.
Qiao Ling tugged on the bat.
It wouldn’t budge.
“Nalan!” she shouted angrily.
“Hold her down!”
“I missed!”
Following the order, Nalan and the others rushed forward.
Tang Sui blinked lazily.
With a single pull, she wrested the baseball bat from Qiao Ling’s hands before swinging it straight into Qiao Ling’s waist.
The entire exchange happened so quickly that no one reacted until Qiao Ling cried out in pain.
“It hurts!”
“Nalan! Catch her!”
“I’m going to break her hands!”
Startled, Nalan cursed loudly in her native language.
Tang Sui looked at her with an easy smile.
“I told you already.”
“I’m not in a very good mood.”
“Don’t worry.”
“You’ll get your turn too.”
Qiao Ling burst into tears.
“You idiots! Hurry up!”
“No one has ever hit me before!”
“I’m going to kill her!”
Nalan and the others were highly trained in Muay Thai.
In theory, Tang Sui should have stood no chance.
Instead…
One after another, they collapsed onto the floor, writhing in agony.
Tang Sui lowered the bat and looked toward Qiao Ling.
“Now…”
“It’s your turn.”
Eyes swollen with tears, Qiao Ling glared furiously.
“I hate you!”
She lunged forward with a punch.
Tang Sui simply struck her leg with the baseball bat.
The intense pain forced Qiao Ling to her knees before she crumpled onto the wet floor.
For several seconds she was too stunned to react.
Then she began wailing.
“It hurts!”
“Tang Sui!”
“I’m going to kill you!”
Casually tossing the bat aside, Tang Sui grabbed Qiao Ling by the hair and dragged her across the room until they stood before Song Fanxing.
Water pooled around Song Fanxing’s feet.
Squatting down, Tang Sui pressed Qiao Ling’s head against the soaked tiles.
The impact echoed sharply through the room.
Qiao Ling struggled violently.
“I’ll kill you!”
“I’ll cut off your hands!”
“I’ll rip out your tongue!”
“I’ll crush your bones!”
Tang Sui didn’t even flinch.
Looking up at Song Fanxing, she smiled.
“Fanxing…”
“She’s pretty noisy, isn’t she?”
Speechless, Song Fanxing could only stare.
Everything that had happened had completely exceeded her imagination.
Without waiting for an answer, Tang Sui shifted her grip to the back of Qiao Ling’s neck and squeezed.
Qiao Ling’s body instantly went limp.
She collapsed unconscious onto the wet floor.
Standing up, Tang Sui untied Song Fanxing’s restraints.
“Are you hurt?”
Song Fanxing shook her head.
“No.”
“I was only splashed with cold water.”
After glancing at the unconscious Qiao Ling, she hesitated.
“She won’t let you go.”
“Neither will her family.”
Tang Sui considered the original owner’s circumstances for a moment.
A gambling father.
An alcoholic mother.
Whether they lived or died made little difference to her.
“So what?”
she replied lightly.
Song Fanxing said nothing further.
Looking directly at Tang Sui, she bowed her head slightly.
“Thank you.”
“This is the second time you’ve saved me.”
Tang Sui smiled helplessly.
“You really don’t have to keep thanking me.”
“But…”
“If you insist, there’s something you can do for me tonight.”
Song Fanxing nodded.
“As long as it’s within my limits.”
Tang Sui curved her lips.
“My bed’s been ruined.”
“Can I stay with you for the night?”
Tomorrow she could simply buy new bedding.
Without another word, Song Fanxing retrieved her phone from beside Qiao Ling, opened their conversation, and looked up.
“Come with me.”
They returned to Song Fanxing’s dormitory just before curfew.
“You’re back?”
one roommate asked.
Song Fanxing nodded.
“She’ll only stay for tonight.”
She had already informed everyone in the dormitory beforehand through their group chat.
No one questioned why Song Fanxing was drenched.
After greeting Tang Sui politely, they quietly resumed studying.
Tang Sui yawned.
“Fanxing…”
“How about we shower and sleep?”
“I’m getting sleepy.”
Song Fanxing quietly handed over clean pajamas and toiletries.
“You first.”
Tang Sui reached into her pocket for the strawberry hair clip but found it missing.
It must have fallen somewhere earlier.
After a brief pause, she suggested,
“Let’s shower together.”
“It’ll save time and won’t disturb your roommates.”
Song Fanxing looked at her silently.
Normally she wouldn’t have minded.
Back in middle school, public baths had made communal showers routine.
But somehow…
Showering with Tang Sui felt different.
After a moment’s hesitation, she agreed.
“Okay.”
Tang Sui smiled.
“Then afterward, could you trim my bangs?”
“That way you won’t have to worry about me anymore.”
Finding a pair of scissors on her desk, Song Fanxing nodded.
“I’m not worried anymore.”
After witnessing Tang Sui’s fighting ability, she no longer feared anyone hurting her.
Steam filled the bathroom.
Song Fanxing’s cheeks gradually reddened from the heat.
Tang Sui behaved unexpectedly well.
She neither teased nor mentioned kissing.
She simply soaked quietly in the bathtub.
Earlier, Song Fanxing had trimmed her bangs to just below her eyebrows.
The length framed Tang Sui’s face perfectly.
Standing beneath the shower with her back turned, Song Fanxing carefully washed herself.
The sound of running water echoed softly.
Leaning against the bathtub, Tang Sui watched her in silence.
She unconsciously licked her lips.
She wanted her.
She wanted to devour her completely.
A faint purple glow flickered across Tang Sui’s eyes.
Resting an arm along the tub’s edge, she called softly,
“Xingxing…”
Song Fanxing didn’t turn around.
“Look at me.”
The sound of water splashing told her Tang Sui had stepped out of the bathtub.
“What is it?”
A quiet laugh sounded close behind.
“Hehe…”
“Fanxing.”
Turning around, Song Fanxing met Tang Sui’s gaze.
“Tang Sui.”
“Are you finished?”
She had intended to look only at Tang Sui’s face.
Instead, her attention was immediately drawn to the vivid crimson markings spread across Tang Sui’s body.
The intricate thorn-like tattoo wound around her skin before converging into a shape resembling a blooming heart.
It was striking.
And strangely beautiful.
Song Fanxing’s eyes flickered.
“I’m done washing.”
“I’m heading out.”
Tang Sui’s appearance was already breathtaking.
Her figure was even more so.
Even someone with no interest in women found it difficult to look away.
Tang Sui touched her own lips.
“Fanxing…”
“I want to kiss you.”
More than that…
She wanted to swallow Song Fanxing whole.
Meeting her gaze, Song Fanxing calmly turned off the shower.
“Tomorrow.”
“We’ll kiss tomorrow.”
“I’ve already told you.”
“If it goes too far, I’ll feel sick.”
“If you truly insist…”
“You can force me.”
Tang Sui narrowed her eyes before letting out a small sigh.
“What a pity.”
