“It looks like I’ll have to give up for today,” Tang Sui murmured softly. “Even though I really want it.”

The word want was dangerously vague.

Did she mean she wanted another kiss?

Or something more?

Perhaps both.

Song Fanxing pressed her lips together without responding. She turned around, grabbed a towel, hurriedly dried herself, changed into her pajamas, and faced Tang Sui only with her cold side profile.

“I’m going out first.”

Tang Sui said nothing.

After the bathroom door closed, she slowly sank back into the bathtub and rested a hand over her stomach.

Whenever her hunger flared up, the mark on her body would burn with heat.

She had long since grown used to it.

Closing her eyes, she quietly waited for the overwhelming craving inside her to fade.

She wanted to devour Song Fanxing.

She wanted it desperately.

But if Song Fanxing refused, then a kiss would be enough.

No matter how hungry she was, she would never force anything beyond that.

The hot water gradually cooled.

Under the bright bathroom lights, Tang Sui’s true appearance was briefly revealed.

Long silver hair spread across the surface of the water.

And atop her head…

Were a pair of black demon horns.

The next day, Hermilia Academy buzzed with gossip.

Rumor had it that Qiao Ling had arrived with thick bandages wrapped around both her head and neck.

Everyone wondered who could possibly have injured someone like her.

Whispers spread throughout the campus.

Some students immediately seized the opportunity to curry favor.

“Qiao Ling, who hurt you? Tell me—I’ll get revenge for you.”

“I brought you chocolates.”

“Oh my gosh… that looks so painful.”

Sitting quietly at her desk, Qiao Ling ignored every attempt to please her.

Instead, she stared silently at the strawberry-shaped hair clip resting in her palm.

She had found it after regaining consciousness.

There was no doubt it belonged to that ugly monster.

She hadn’t told anyone about the previous night.

Neither had Nalan or the others.

She had forbidden them from speaking.

This revenge belonged to her alone.

How dare someone of such low status strike her?

Hatred consumed her thoughts.

She imagined tying Tang Sui up, carving her skin with a knife little by little, ripping off her fingernails, listening to her screams, breaking every bone in her hands and feet, then chaining her inside a doghouse.

The fantasy pleased her so much that she began smiling.

Her crescent-shaped eyes made her look innocent despite the horrifying thoughts in her mind.

Seeing her smile, the surrounding students prepared to continue chatting.

Instead, Qiao Ling cheerfully interrupted them.

“Everyone, stop talking.”

“It’s noisy.”

“And don’t crowd around me.”

“It makes me unhappy.”

The room instantly fell silent.

No one dared oppose her.

After slipping the hair clip into her pocket, Qiao Ling picked up her camera.

The photograph of Tang Sui kissing Song Fanxing was still saved inside.

This time, however, she didn’t look at Song Fanxing.

She stared only at Tang Sui’s obscured figure.

Her light-brown eyes filled with undisguised hatred.

No one had ever humiliated her like this.

She would return every ounce of pain.

Twice over.

At lunchtime, Qiao Ling headed for the swimming hall.

As always, Fu Juezhou was there.

Seeing Qiao Ling wrapped in bandages, Fu Juezhou raised an eyebrow.

“Trying out a mummy costume today?”

“It actually suits you.”

Even her teasing carried a sharp edge.

Qiao Ling ignored the mockery.

Instead, she quietly asked,

“If Tang Sui dies…”

“Will your mother be angry?”

Fu Juezhou adjusted her goggles.

“Probably.”

Without another word, she dove into the water.

Her body sliced gracefully through the pool, every movement elegant yet powerful.

Watching from the side, Qiao Ling pursed her lips before carrying her camera back to yesterday’s observation point.

The classroom by the window appeared empty.

What she didn’t know was that Tang Sui and Song Fanxing were inside.

They simply weren’t sitting near the windows anymore.

At the back of Classroom 305 in Building C, Song Fanxing sat against the closed classroom door.

Tang Sui rested comfortably on her lap.

They were so close they could smell each other’s scent.

Tang Sui sighed softly.

“Fanxing…”

“I’ve been holding back for so long.”

Feeling the coolness of Tang Sui’s breath against her skin, Song Fanxing’s expression grew serious.

“I just ate bread.”

Tang Sui rubbed the tip of her nose against Song Fanxing’s cheek.

“That’s alright.”

“I don’t mind.”

The gesture was unexpectedly intimate.

Song Fanxing’s fingers tightened slightly.

“It’s only supposed to be a kiss.”

“Don’t do things like this.”

Tang Sui smiled.

Pinching Song Fanxing’s chin lightly, she leaned forward.

She couldn’t wait anymore.

For a succubus who had starved for two hundred years…

Food was addictive.

The moment their lips met, Tang Sui’s tongue slipped gently into Song Fanxing’s mouth.

Warm.

Sweet.

Intoxicating.

Song Fanxing’s face instantly turned pale.

The nausea returned.

Kissing another woman already made her uncomfortable.

Feeling another person’s tongue invade her mouth was even worse.

She had thought repeated exposure would help.

She was wrong.

Unable to breathe properly, she shoved Tang Sui away and turned aside, dry-heaving before finally calming herself.

Once she recovered, she looked apologetically at Tang Sui.

“I’m sorry.”

“I couldn’t stop feeling disgusted.”

Anyone else would probably have been offended.

Tang Sui simply reached over and smoothed Song Fanxing’s messy bangs.

“Then we’ll try again later.”

“Our second kiss today.”

Song Fanxing caught her wrist.

Looking directly into Tang Sui’s eyes, she asked quietly,

“Why did you agree to my proposal?”

“With your appearance…”

“You could easily find someone else willing to kiss you.”

Now that her bangs no longer covered her face, Tang Sui’s beauty was impossible to ignore.

Every feature looked flawlessly sculpted.

Leaning comfortably against Song Fanxing’s chest, Tang Sui answered honestly,

“Because you taste the best.”

The straightforward reply surprised Song Fanxing.

“The best?”

Tang Sui gently pinched her ear.

“Yes.”

“Your scent is addictive.”

The cool fingertips brushing against her skin felt strangely flirtatious.

Song Fanxing ignored the gesture.

Tang Sui always seemed to crave physical contact.

Even while sleeping, she wanted to hold her arm or touch her ears.

After a while, Tang Sui cupped Song Fanxing’s cheeks.

“Wait—”

Before Song Fanxing could finish, another kiss landed on her lips.

This time, Tang Sui didn’t pry them open.

She simply held them gently, tracing the outline with the tip of her tongue.

Unexpectedly…

That reduced Song Fanxing’s nausea considerably.

Noticing the subtle change, Tang Sui whispered,

“Fanxing…”

“If you hug me…”

“I won’t crave your lips so much.”

Song Fanxing closed her eyes.

She ignored the request.

Kissing was already the furthest she could compromise.

She had no intention of embracing another woman.

Tang Sui chuckled softly.

This time, when she slipped into the kiss again, she only brushed lightly against Song Fanxing’s tongue.

There was no force.

No aggression.

Only tenderness.

At that very moment, voices echoed from the hallway outside.

“They said Tang Sui and Song Fanxing came in here.”

“Damn it, where did they go?”

“What a waste of time.”

“I heard Tang Sui cut her hair.”

“They say she’s actually really pretty.”

“Zhao Jingyun, weren’t you the one drooling over her yesterday?”

“There are plenty of beautiful girls in school.”

“Don’t pin that on me! I just mentioned it once!”

Hearing Yu Ying’s group approaching, Song Fanxing instinctively held her breath.

She didn’t want them to discover they were inside.

Sensing that she had stopped breathing, Tang Sui reluctantly ended the kiss.

Instead, she took Song Fanxing’s hand and softly kissed her wrist.

Confused, Song Fanxing frowned at her.

Tang Sui merely smiled.

She gently bit one of Song Fanxing’s fingers, her enchanting eyes sparkling mischievously.

Song Fanxing’s entire body tensed.

She wanted to push Tang Sui away.

But she feared making enough noise to draw everyone outside straight to the classroom door.
