Chapter 5

Tang Sui stretched lazily before unlocking the classroom door.

“If you really want to thank me,” she said with a smile, “come see me again.”

Standing behind her, Song Fanxing’s gaze unconsciously settled on Tang Sui’s legs. Pressed lightly against the edge of the desk beneath her skirt, they were flushed a vivid red. As Tang Sui moved, glimpses of smooth skin appeared from under the hem, creating an unintentionally suggestive sight.

Her eyes drifted upward.

The fitted school blazer accentuated Tang Sui’s slender waist perfectly, while the pleated skirt outlined graceful curves below. Even without seeing the full silhouette, it was obvious that she possessed an exceptionally attractive figure.

Even from behind, Tang Sui radiated an inexplicable charm.

Song Fanxing quietly followed her out of the classroom. Once outside, Tang Sui pulled out the piece of wire again and skillfully locked the door behind them.

Just as they reached the exit of Building C, Song Fanxing stopped.

After a brief silence, she said softly,

“Don’t wear your hair clip anymore.”

“It’s too dangerous.”

Tang Sui and she were both outcasts within the academy, yet their situations were completely different.

Because Song Fanxing had been labeled as “interesting” by a handful of untouchable elites, ordinary wealthy students rarely dared to provoke her. Only those elites’ followers ever bothered harassing her.

Tang Sui, however, had been openly singled out by Fu Juezhou herself.

Anyone hoping to curry favor with Fu Juezhou would gladly seize the opportunity to torment her.

If Tang Sui continued hiding behind her long bangs, she would likely suffer only insults and beatings.

But now…

Her face was simply too beautiful.

And beauty in this place would only invite something far worse.

Tang Sui turned back with a relaxed smile.

“Are you worried about me?”

Song Fanxing nodded.

Without hesitation, Tang Sui removed the strawberry hair clip.

Her long bangs fell forward once again, covering her brows and eyes. Although her nose and lips remained delicate, losing sight of those captivating eyes greatly diminished her striking appearance.

Holding up the clip, she smiled brightly.

“If that’s what you want, then I won’t wear it.”

Song Fanxing’s lashes trembled slightly.

“There’s no need to flirt with me,” she replied in an indifferent tone. “I’m not into women.”

Tang Sui laughed as she turned away.

“Alright then, little straight girl.”

After a brief pause, she added teasingly,

“And next time, try strawberry flavor. I’m not very fond of red bean.”

Song Fanxing frowned.

She stood frozen until Tang Sui had nearly disappeared from view before finally realizing what she meant.

At lunch, she had eaten red bean bread.

Watching Tang Sui’s retreating figure, Song Fanxing slowly clenched her fists as an unfamiliar emotion stirred within her.

Hermilia Academy dismissed classes at 4:30 p.m. Although students were free to leave campus, boarding students had to return before 8:00 p.m.

At exactly seven that evening, Tang Sui arrived at the dormitory assigned to the original owner, her long bangs once again hiding her face.

She had spent the afternoon wandering the campus, hoping to encounter another person like Song Fanxing.

Instead, every student she met reacted with disgust or contempt.

She was treated like a cockroach—unwelcome wherever she went—and no one gave her the slightest opportunity to interact.

Taking out her key card, Tang Sui unlocked the dormitory and stepped inside.

The room was brightly lit.

All three of her roommates had already returned.

The spacious four-person dorm featured loft beds with desks underneath, spotless floors, and a faint pleasant fragrance.

The instant Tang Sui entered, the laughter and conversation stopped.

The three girls immediately turned away and busied themselves with other things, making their rejection painfully obvious.

Tang Sui paid them no attention.

The only person occupying her thoughts was Song Fanxing.

According to the original story, after enduring relentless bullying from Fu Juezhou’s followers, the previous Tang Sui would return to find her bedding soaked with water and splattered with red and white paint, finally breaking down in despair.

Climbing onto the ladder, Tang Sui looked at the ruined mattress and chuckled softly.

“What a mess.”

“Has someone been sleeping in my bed?”

The room remained silent.

No one acknowledged her.

Unbothered, Tang Sui simply took out her phone, snapped a picture, and sent it to Song Fanxing.

It’s so dirty that I can’t sleep here. Xingxing, can I stay with you tonight?

After all, an opportunity like this shouldn’t go to waste.

Stepping back onto the floor, she absentmindedly brushed aside her bangs again.

They were inconvenient, but if Song Fanxing worried about her because of them, perhaps they were worth keeping.

She typed another message.

There aren’t even any clean blankets left.

If Song Fanxing invited her over, she could deal with the dorm tomorrow.

Otherwise, she would have to handle it tonight.

Honestly, she hated people who deliberately ruined someone else’s sleeping space.

At that very moment, Song Fanxing sat tied to a chair while bucket after bucket of freezing water was dumped over her.

Across from her sat a light-haired girl with delicate features.

“Little cutie,” Qiao Ling asked innocently, “who was the person you kissed today?”

Anyone unfamiliar with her would have mistaken the tone for affection.

The student pouring water paused, giving Song Fanxing a chance to answer.

Eyes closed and lips tightly pressed together, Song Fanxing remained silent.

Though drenched from head to toe, she somehow retained her composed demeanor.

Qiao Ling sighed dramatically.

“Your phone received a message.”

“Is that person hiding inside it?”

“I hate troublesome things, but I still came all this way to see you.”

Tilting her head, she smiled like an innocent child.

“So tell me the password.”

She waited patiently.

Receiving no response, she puffed out her cheeks.

“Nalan, unlock it with her fingerprints.”

Without hesitation, Nalan set down the bucket, wiped Song Fanxing’s wet fingers dry with a tissue, and tested them one by one against the phone.

The device unlocked.

Opening her eyes, Song Fanxing stared coldly at Qiao Ling.

“What exactly are you trying to do?”

Qiao Ling smiled.

“I just want to know who you kissed.”

Taking back the phone, she quickly opened the messaging app.

“Tang Sui?”

Reading the latest messages, her eyes lit up.

“She wants to sleep with you.”

Looking up at Song Fanxing’s expressionless face, Qiao Ling laughed happily.

“So it really was her.”

“That’s perfect.”

“I can help Zhou while I’m at it.”

Song Fanxing’s brows drew together as Qiao Ling cheerfully continued.

“I told her to come to Dance Studio Three.”

“She already replied that she’s on her way.”

“When she gets here, I’m going to sew her mouth shut.”

“And if she tries to hug you, I’ll break her hands.”

“She’s dirty.”

“She also needs a bath.”

“And her hair is ugly, so I’ll shave it off too.”

For the first time, unmistakable disgust crossed Song Fanxing’s face.

“If you’re mentally ill,” she said coldly, “go get treatment.”

Qiao Ling blinked.

Then she frowned pitifully.

“Little cutie… why are you scolding me?”

Song Fanxing lowered her gaze and silently prayed that Tang Sui would never come.

Unfortunately, heaven ignored her wish.

About ten minutes later, a knock sounded at the studio door.

“Fanxing?”

Tang Sui’s cheerful voice came from outside.

“I’m here.”

Qiao Ling beamed.

Standing up excitedly, she clapped her hands.

“Now we can finally play.”

Tang Sui waited outside until the door opened.

The person standing before her wasn’t Song Fanxing.

Instead, it was a tall mixed-race girl with light brown hair, matching eyes, and an adorably youthful face.

Qiao Ling.

Tang Sui immediately recognized one of the novel’s protagonists.

Keeping her expression casual, she asked,

“What are you doing here?”

She already had a rough idea.

Song Fanxing had been captured.

Since this event never happened in the original story, it meant the timeline had begun diverging from the moment Tang Sui transmigrated.

Qiao Ling tilted her head, examining Tang Sui carefully.

She had expected someone gloomier.

Still, ugly was ugly.

Smiling sweetly, she stepped aside.

“Come in first.”

As her tall figure moved away from the entrance, the room’s interior came fully into view.

Tang Sui’s gaze immediately landed on Song Fanxing.

She was tied to a chair in the center of the studio, soaked from head to toe.

“What happened here?”

Song Fanxing turned toward her.

Her voice was hoarse.

“Don’t come in.”

“Go back.”

Tang Sui ignored the warning and stepped inside.

Behind her, Qiao Ling quietly closed the door.

Her eyes curved into an innocent smile.

“Tang Sui…”

“You dirtied my little cutie.”

“And that makes me very unhappy.”
