“Let me go.”

“You didn’t treat me any differently back then, did you?”

After so many years, all that remained in her memory was whether she had enjoyed herself or not. The pain itself had long since faded into irrelevance.

Lu Chenxing gripped her waist and pushed her down onto the sofa.

Xu Suxin instinctively shrank back, her chest rising and falling rapidly.

A moment later, Lu Chenxing released her. Leaning against the back of the sofa beside her, she stared at her in silence before finally straightening up and taking a seat on the sofa opposite.

Xu Suxin steadied her breathing and sat upright.

Her eyes swept once more over the scattered objects nearby, leaving her with an uneasy feeling.

Back then, she had never been this excessive.

At most, she had bought diamond-studded collars and dog ears, convincing herself they counted as rewards.

The items before her now felt completely out of place.

Yet she could not point that out.

Doing so would only expose her own past actions and make escape even more difficult.

People outside all said she deserved her downfall.

That she had brought everything upon herself.

But in truth—

Xu Suxin had never regretted any of it.

She looked at Lu Chenxing.

“President Lu, what exactly are you trying to do? Illegal detention?”

Lu Chenxing’s gaze remained calm.

“You used to call it illegal detention?”

Xu Suxin pressed her lips together without answering.

“I thought it was a honey trap.”

Pleasure overflowing like spilled honey.

That was another way of describing it.

Xu Suxin got straight to the point.

“So how exactly do you want to revisit the past?”

A bodyguard stepped forward and poured half a glass of red wine for her.

The familiar aroma drifted through the room.

Without even tasting it, Xu Suxin recognized it.

Retenue Tolérance.

A French vintage.

Its flavor was rich and layered, blending grapes with delicate notes of rose.

Produced in extremely limited quantities worldwide, each bottle now sold for nearly three hundred thousand yuan.

Compared to its value as a collectible, Xu Suxin had always preferred using it for flirting.

Across from her, Lu Chenxing gently swirled the wine in her glass.

“Try it,” she said in a low voice.

“It’s your favorite.”

Those blue eyes still carried the same dangerous sharpness.

Cold.

Predatory.

Watching Lu Chenxing drink from the glass, Xu Suxin felt an inexplicable chill creep down her spine.

The person sitting before her was no longer the Little Monster she once knew.

She truly had to get to know this woman all over again.

The bodyguard beside her spoke again.

“Miss Xu, please.”

Xu Suxin casually lowered her gaze to the wine.

The first time she had tasted this bottle years ago, she had been captivated by its fragrance.

One sip hadn’t satisfied her.

On impulse, she had grabbed Lu Chenxing and kissed her.

When Lu Chenxing refused to swallow the wine, Xu Suxin had used the tip of her tongue to force it into her mouth.

The more Lu Chenxing resisted, the more determined she became.

Once the wine slid down her throat, everything spiraled out of control.

From the sofa to the French windows, they remained tangled together for two or three days.

In the end, Xu Suxin had slapped Lu Chenxing in anger over some trivial matter.

Lu Chenxing’s skin bruised easily.

The handprint stayed visible for two full days.

Wearing that mark while carrying out assignments was no different from displaying her humiliation to the world, earning countless whispered criticisms.

Looking back now, Xu Suxin had truly been outrageously wicked in her youth.

Every time others thought she had settled down, she found a brand-new way to amuse herself.

After emptying her glass, Lu Chenxing quietly set it back on the table.

Her slender fingers slowly undid the buttons of her suit jacket.

Then she glanced toward the entrance.

The bodyguards silently withdrew.

The door closed behind them.

The lights overhead brightened at once, illuminating every corner of the room.

Xu Suxin had a feeling she would not be leaving today.

She suspected Lu Chenxing’s revenge would be even crueler than anything she herself had done in the past.

Calmly, she picked up her own glass.

“Do you still need me to feed it to you?” Lu Chenxing asked.

“No.”

Xu Suxin pinched the stem delicately between her fingers and slowly rotated the glass, sending crimson ripples across its surface.

She had expected Lu Chenxing to force the wine into her mouth the way she once had.

Seeing no such move, she quietly let out a breath.

At least it wasn’t that kind of revenge.

Besides—

The glass itself still had its uses.

She took a small sip and met Lu Chenxing’s eyes.

“Have you reminisced enough? Can I leave now?”

Lu Chenxing raised an eyebrow.

“What do you think?”

Xu Suxin inhaled deeply, forcing herself to remain patient.

“President Lu, people can’t spend their entire lives trapped in the past. They have to move forward.”

“Are you talking about yourself?”

The question struck directly at the collapse of the Xu family.

Even so, Xu Suxin’s expression barely changed.

A faint smile appeared instead.

“What else do you want to relive? Just tell me.”

Lu Chenxing’s voice sank lower.

“So… do you remember now?”

“Sorry.”

Xu Suxin met her gaze.

“I don’t.”

“Maybe back then you were simply the least memorable among all the cruel things I did. If I had truly used my worst methods on you, you wouldn’t even be standing here today…”

Before she could finish speaking—

Bang!

A loud crash echoed through the living room.

Everything stored beneath the table was dumped onto the coffee table.

Heavy metal restraints slammed into the glass surface, leaving cracks spreading across it.

Lu Chenxing looked at her.

“Should I put them on you?”

“Or would you rather do it yourself?”

Leaning back against the sofa, Xu Suxin silently clenched her trembling fingers.

She had never used those things on Lu Chenxing.

Yet the certainty in Lu Chenxing’s eyes made any denial meaningless.

Suppressing the anger rising inside her, Xu Suxin bent down and picked up another glass.

“I’ll finish this one.”

She brought it to her lips and drained it as though punishing herself.

Only then did Lu Chenxing’s calm voice drift over.

“It contains an aphrodisiac.”

Xu Suxin froze.

Immediately lowering the glass, she spat out the remaining wine and grabbed tissues to wipe her lips over and over.

The cloying sweetness left her feeling sick.

She glared across the table.

“What exactly do you want?”

Lu Chenxing answered without hesitation.

“You have two choices.”

“Either tie yourself up willingly.”

“Or let me do it for you.”

She placed a timer on the coffee table.

Three minutes appeared on the screen.

Xu Suxin instinctively checked her phone.

The words No Service in the corner made her heart sink.

She slowly clenched her hand.

Was Lu Chenxing planning to imprison her?

To torture her until she died without anyone ever knowing?

The countdown continued.

Three minutes.

Two minutes.

Fifty-six seconds.

Xu Suxin lazily rested one leg across the table.

“You.”

“Come here.”

Lu Chenxing rose to her feet.

Dragging the gleaming silver restraints behind her, she walked forward one measured step at a time.

Perhaps it was because of her sharply defined mixed-race features.

Or perhaps because the chain scraping against the floor produced such an icy sound.

Either way, Xu Suxin felt goosebumps spread across her skin.

Her breathing unconsciously quickened.

The instant Lu Chenxing reached for her ankle, Xu Suxin instinctively trembled.

The wine in her hand nearly spilled.

Just as the restraint was about to close around her slender ankle—

Xu Suxin suddenly smashed the glass.

Without hesitation, she pressed the jagged shard against the back of Lu Chenxing’s neck.

One eyebrow lifted slightly.

Compared with cruelty…

She still considered herself superior.

After all, no one should ever turn their back on an enemy.

Especially not an enemy who had once hated them to the bone.

Her wine-stained lips curved coldly.

“If you’re not afraid of dying…”

“Try it.”

Lu Chenxing showed no fear.

Instead, her fingers tightened.

Xu Suxin did not hesitate.

The broken glass pierced her skin.

“Let go.”

Ignoring the pain, Lu Chenxing frowned and stubbornly repeated,

“Do you remember now?”

“Xu Suxin.”

Xu Suxin jerked her leg free.

She raised it as though about to kick Lu Chenxing in the face but stopped at the very last second, letting the shard brush across her cheek instead.

“Did you really have to make things this bloody?”

Lu Chenxing slowly stood.

The scent of blood spread through the room.

Xu Suxin quickly grabbed her phone and attempted to send a distress message to Qian Shanyue.

Only a red exclamation mark appeared.

Every signal had been blocked.

The doors were locked from the outside.

“I want to leave.”

She glared at Lu Chenxing.

Lu Chenxing casually wiped the blood from the back of her neck.

“Shouldn’t you stay a few more days?”

“Your desires used to be so intense.”

“Would three days really have been enough to satisfy you?”

Xu Suxin immediately shouted toward the closed door.

“If you don’t open it, your President Lu is about to be stabbed to death.”

Panic erupted outside.

With a click, the lock disengaged.

Keeping the broken shard pressed against Lu Chenxing’s neck, this time directly over the carotid artery, Xu Suxin extended her free hand.

“Give me your phone.”

“Hurry.”

Without resisting, Lu Chenxing placed it into her palm.

Xu Suxin unlocked the screen.

A familiar photograph flashed before her eyes.

Before she could examine it closely, dizziness suddenly overwhelmed her.

Her vision blurred.

At last she understood.

There really had been something wrong with the wine.

She forced herself to look up.

Lu Chenxing still stood where she was.

Those dark blue eyes remained unreadable.

Cold enough to freeze everything around them.

With one hand, Lu Chenxing grasped Xu Suxin’s wrist.

With the other, she effortlessly removed the bloodstained glass shard.

Xu Suxin’s strength disappeared.

Her high heels could no longer support her.

Consciousness drifted in and out.

Cold fingertips traced down the bridge of her nose before sliding lower to support the back of her neck.

Then Lu Chenxing lifted her effortlessly into her arms.

The only thing Xu Suxin could still perceive was the blurred motion of the ceiling as Lu Chenxing carried her upstairs.

One silver high heel slipped from her foot and landed on the floor with a crisp sound.

She was carried into a bedroom.

Then gently placed upon a soft bed.

The buttons of her shirt were undone one by one.

Cool fingertips brushed lightly across her collarbone.

Even through the haze, Xu Suxin shivered.

Tiny goosebumps rose across her skin.

A warm damp towel carefully wiped her face.

For a fleeting moment, she felt as though she had returned to the days when she was still the eldest daughter of the Xu family, waited upon by countless servants.

Then someone gently took hold of her wrist.

She tried to struggle.

But something cool settled around it.

A bracelet…

Or perhaps a restraint.

She let out an uncomfortable murmur and instinctively resisted.

Her other high heel was removed as well.

Through blurred vision, she saw Lu Chenxing kneeling beside the bed.

Hearing her movement, Lu Chenxing slowly turned.

Then warmth brushed against her ear.

Their lips nearly touched.

In a deep voice, Lu Chenxing whispered,

“I’ll clean you…”

“Inside and out.”

The words sounded strangely familiar.

Yet they had never come from Xu Suxin herself.

Reality and dreams gradually blended together.

She could no longer tell one from the other.

Just like the countless nights she had drowned herself in alcohol, trying to return to that decaying past.

When Xu Suxin opened her eyes again, she found herself lying in a bathtub.

Half awake.

Half asleep.
