- Chapter 5 - This is a school! What kind of behavior is this!
“What do you mean!”
Guo Weifeng took a step forward, his voice loud
as he pointed directly at Shen Yuan. The next second, Guo Weifeng saw Shen Yuan standing at the gatehouse door, pointing at him.
“Uncle Zhang, I don’t think that guy is from our school. He doesn’t look like a high school student; maybe he’s from outside causing trouble.”
Then, Uncle Zhang, the gatekeeper, poked his head out of the gatehouse and looked Guo Weifeng up and down.
Perhaps because of his athletic training, Guo Weifeng had a face full of fat and didn’t look like a high school student at all.
Uncle Zhang shouted in a strong voice, “What are you doing! This is a school!”
Guo Weifeng was stunned: “I’m a student!”
Uncle Zhang raised an eyebrow: “Where’s your school ID! Which class are you in!”
Guo Weifeng reached into his pocket—oh no, he hadn’t brought his school ID!
Seeing this, Shen Yuan snorted coldly, “Uncle Zhang, this guy definitely doesn’t have a school ID! When you ask him what class he’s in, he’ll just make something up.”
Uncle Zhang nodded in deep agreement.
Guo Weifeng panicked, “I really am a student! Class 14! My homeroom teacher is Liu Xi!”
At this moment, Tong Churou also explained from the side, “Uncle, I can testify, I am from Class 14!” As
Tong Churou spoke, she took out her school ID.
Just as Uncle Zhang took the school ID, Li Zhi, who had been standing by watching the show, suddenly spoke up.
“Uncle, about what happened at No. 2 Middle School last year.”
Shen Yuan looked at Li Zhi in surprise, not expecting Li Zhi to speak up for him.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Shen Yuan quickly said, “Yes, Uncle Zhang, last year that student from another school at No. 2 Middle School was brought in by a girl.”
“Uncle Zhang, even if someone can vouch for him, he can’t be let in without showing his school ID! What if he really is from outside the school? Better safe than sorry.”
Uncle Zhang was taken aback: “Didn’t that student from No. 2 Middle School climb over the wall himself?”
Shen Yuan clicked his tongue softly and said mysteriously to Uncle Zhang, “I have a classmate at No. 2 Middle School.”
Looking at Shen Yuan’s serious expression, Uncle Zhang immediately understood.
Gossip isn’t about how far it’s coming from; it’s about getting the gossip.
With a sense of satisfaction, Uncle Zhang returned the school ID to Tong Churou.
“Classmate, you can go in, but he can’t.”
Hearing this, Tong Churou took a deep breath, but there was nothing she could do.
After all, without a school ID, she couldn’t enter the school.
Looking at the gazes of her classmates, Tong Churou felt her face flush red.
And then, Shen Yuan added fuel to the fire.
“Uncle Zhang, let’s go back to the classroom and do our practice problems. We absolutely can’t let this suspicious outsider into the school!”
Uncle Zhang turned around and gave an OK sign: “Leave it to me. Without a school ID, he won’t be able to get in today.”
Shen Yuan raised his hand and gave a thumbs up: “Uncle Zhang truly deserves to be the first line of defense for Jiyang Middle School!”
After saying that, Shen Yuan said to Tong Churou, “We still need to calm down.”
This made Tong Churou’s temper flare up and down.
But Shen Yuan was very happy.
“Childish.”
Hearing Li Zhi’s words, Shen Yuan didn’t care at all.
For people he disliked, he wanted to make them upset!
“You stepped on my foot too.”
“I was afraid that if I didn’t help you, you would cry, which would be too embarrassing.”
Shen Yuan chuckled: “Baby, I knew you cared about me.”
Li Zhi turned his head and snorted, then walked towards the classroom.
…
“Awesome!!”
Shen Yuan became happier and happier as he thought about it, and shouted excitedly on the podium after returning to the classroom.
Just then, Zhou Shaojie’s voice came from behind Shen Yuan: “Yuan, you seem quite happy, what’s wrong?”
“Jie, you wouldn’t understand.”
Zhou Shaojie walked to Shen Yuan’s side, putting his arm around his shoulder: “Hey! What are you talking about? What don’t I understand?”
As he spoke, Zhou Shaojie even pinched Shen Yuan’s shoulder.
Shen Yuan immediately let out a sharp scream: “Ah! Brother Jie! No, Brother Jie!”
Li Zhi watched as a screaming chicken ran back to its seat, with Zhou Shaojie following closely behind.
Standing beside the seat, Zhou Shaojie took off his holographic glasses and smiled wickedly: “Quick! Tell me!”
“No! Brother Jie, no!”
Watching the two of them playfully fighting, Li Zhi moved slightly closer to the wall.
She didn’t want to get accidentally hurt.
Someone in the classroom saw this and immediately laughed, “Hey, A-Jie, you’re flirting with a boy again.”
Before the words were even finished, Shen Yuan grabbed Zhou Shaojie by the neck.
“This A-Jie is such a loser.”
“Yeah, he can’t even flirt with a boy.”
Zhou Shaojie broke free from Shen Yuan’s grasp and yelled at the boy who had spoken earlier, “You’re so brave!”
The next second, Zhou Shaojie’s back door was breached, and Shen Yuan directly locked his upper body.
A strongman locking a man!
“Arubata!”
Before the words were even finished, three or five burly men came out and lifted Zhou Shaojie’s legs.
Men on top of men.
“Help! Help! Help!”
“This is a school! This is a school! What kind of behavior is this! What kind of behavior is this!”
The group, carrying Zhou Shaojie, rubbed against the back door of the classroom.
“Ah!!”
The reign of a tyrant had come to an end.
After a brief scuffle, it was lunchtime.
Although most of the students in Class 15 were day students, quite a few still liked to take a nap in the classroom at noon.
There were no teachers supervising during nap time, so they could turn on the air conditioning whenever they wanted and turn it off afterward.
It was quite comfortable.
Although they lived relatively close, only a 10-minute walk from home to school,
walking back in the sweltering heat would result in a tan. It was better to go back after evening self-study, and maybe even check if there was any late-night snack available, and perhaps trick Shen Yuan again.
Or, perhaps get tricked by Shen Yuan.
Although their relationship was strained, it wasn’t to the point where they told everyone the other was dead.
After the “Jide Incident,” Li Zhi deleted Shen Yuan from her WeChat and QQ contacts, but since they lived across the hall, they were bound to run into each other once or twice.
Even breakups can sometimes lead to reconciliation.
Besides, they were now deskmates, seeing each other all the time.
Naturally, their relationship had eased considerably.
After working on the test for a while, Li Zhi felt a bit sleepy.
Spring drowsiness, autumn fatigue, summer naps.
Physiological urges are unavoidable.
If you’re sleepy, just sleep; forcing yourself to stay awake will only hinder your studies.
When Li Zhi fell asleep, Shen Yuan was already fast asleep.
Perhaps it was the air conditioning, but feeling slightly chilly, Li Zhi naturally moved closer to the warmer source beside her in her sleep.
In his sleep, Shen Yuan felt an elbow pressed against his own.
Sensing the direction, it was to his right—Li Zhi.
That’s good.
If it were Zhou Shaojie, he’d give him a quick elbow strike.
Shen Yuan braced his right arm on the table and quietly raised his head.
The girl’s face was buried in her arm, sleeping soundly.
She smelled wonderful.
Shen Yuan sniffed the scent emanating from Li Zhi.
Then he sniffed his own.
They used the same laundry detergent.
The two mothers had probably shared their household items.
He wondered if they’d ever discussed whether the two children were compatible.
Thinking of this, Shen Yuan pursed his lips.
With Li Zhi?
Forget it…
well, he really wanted to.
Why wouldn’t he want such a beautiful childhood sweetheart?
But these things depend on fate.
Oh well, it’s senior year of high school, time to study.
Shen Yuan’s mind was in a jumble, and he decided to continue his afternoon nap.
