- The Mad Young Master Falls Asleep Every Night to My Fragrance
- Chapter 13 - Look, it's moving!
The scene fell silent instantly.
Old Nan was stunned by the beating. He stood there for a few seconds, then covered his face and roared in disbelief, “You fucking dare to hit me?!”
Jiang Youxi then realized what was happening, looked at her numb hand, and pretended to be serious, saying, “Sir, you are too excited. When you are excited, your blood pressure rises, causing your facial muscles to stiffen. The only way to relieve your symptoms is with tapping therapy. I am trying to help you!”
Old Nan was completely taken aback by the scam, but the burning pain on his face fueled his rage: “What blood pressure fluctuations? Who are you trying to fool?! Where did you get this quack doctor from? Believe me, I’ll kill you!”
Snap! Snap! Snap!
Jiang Youxi slapped him several more times.
“Damn it! You motherfucker—”
“Don’t get excited~” Jiang Youxi pressed down on his fist and said seriously, “This is a physical stimulation method, which is beneficial for relieving muscle tension, stimulating blood vessel dilation, and accelerating blood circulation. If you get excited any more, your blood vessels will really burst!”
“Try to hold back, don’t get any more agitated!”
After saying that, he slapped him on the right cheek again.
Old Nan was so angry he was practically fuming. He struggled to his feet and raised his hand to slap him.
Just as Jiang Youxi was about to dodge, her wrist was suddenly tightened and then pulled.
She was pulled into an embrace, and the familiar scent of cedarwood wafted towards her.
Old Nan missed his target and fell flat on his back.
The crowd erupted in uproar.
Jiang Youxi steadied herself and then realized that the person who had pulled her was He Zhuo.
Everyone rushed forward to help Lao Nan up. Some comforted him, saying that he was injured and shouldn’t make a fuss. Others, still angry, took the opportunity to fan the flames and keep provoking Lao Nan with their words.
Old Nan staggered, his face turned a liverish color with anger, and he could barely stand, yet he still tried to lunge forward to hit someone.
“Damn it! So you’re in cahoots with them? You bitch, believe me or not, I’ll beat you to death!”
Old Nan was about to go forward and hit someone again, but He Zhuo pulled Jiang Youxi behind him and kicked Old Nan.
Old Nan collapsed to the ground.
This immediately ignited the conflict between the two sides, with each side stepping forward to shout their arguments.
The scene was chaotic.
Just when things were about to get out of control, the long-awaited ambulance finally arrived.
The doctors lifted Lao Nan onto a stretcher. He was furious and told them what had happened: “This brat’s talking about some kind of slapping therapy. Do you think such a therapy really exists?!”
The leading doctor looked at Jiang Youxi and nodded: “She’s right, there is indeed a treatment method called slapping therapy.”
“Impossible! She slapped me so many times, too…”
Jiang Youxi peeked out from behind He Zhuo and said confidently, “Look, even the professional doctors say so, but you just won’t believe it! If it weren’t for those slaps I gave you just now, you wouldn’t even have the strength to yell here!”
“you–“
Just then, the person in charge of the competition came over to mediate the fight, and the doctors quickly lifted Lao Nan into the car and rushed to the hospital.
“This is a competition arena. If you keep causing trouble, you’re all out of the game and can go home and sleep!”
Upon hearing this, everyone immediately calmed down.
The person in charge waved his hand: “Alright, that’s enough, everyone can leave now!”
The crowd dispersed, leaving only a few of them in the waiting room.
“Wow, Yu Xi, you’re amazing!” Xie Zhao gave a thumbs up. “No wonder you’re a medical student, you’re so professional!”
“I was just making that up.”
“What?”
Jiang Youxi explained with a smile.
Xie Zhao said “Oh,” glanced at the man beside her, and said with a double meaning, “So there really is such a treatment. I thought you were standing up for Brother Zhuo because they said bad things about him.”
Jiang Youxi paused, then subconsciously looked at He Zhuo.
The man was also looking at her, his dark pupils like a piece of deep black jade, carrying a hint of barely perceptible expectation.
Was he waiting for her answer?
Thinking of this, Jiang Youxi tilted her head and smiled at him: “Of course, I’m just standing up for Senior He Zhuo.”
The little girl’s eyes crinkled into crescent shapes with her smile, and her dimples at the corners of her mouth resembled two cloyingly sweet candies.
He Zhuo’s gaze paused slightly, and the color of his pupils deepened.
Jiang Youxi stepped forward, moved closer to his side, looked up, and said with a smile, “Senior He Zhuo, thank you for saving me just now.”
He Zhuo looked away, hummed in response, and walked away.
? ?
Just like that, you left?
Jiang Youxi was completely bewildered. Thinking of what the person in charge had just said, she guessed that they might have gone to a competition.
She knelt down, picked up the medical tools one by one, and put them back into the first aid kit.
After packing her things, Jiang Youxi got up to leave when she saw the man come out of the inner room.
He changed back into his everyday clothes, his red motorcycle jacket casual and flamboyant, his wild and roguish charm seemingly innate.
“Senior He Zhuo, aren’t you going to a competition?”
“I’m not competing anymore.”
“Why?” Jiang Youxi asked in surprise, recalling what the person in charge had just said. “You’ve really been disqualified?”
He Zhuo scoffed dismissively: “I’ll be disqualified?”
“Why not? You’re human, not a god.”
“…”
He Zhuo put his hands in his pockets, leaned down, and got closer to her: “So you don’t want me to be happy, junior?”
The man’s breath was slightly hot as he spoke, constantly spraying onto her face, causing a tickling sensation on her cheeks.
Jiang Youxi glanced at the stunningly handsome face so close to her and subconsciously swallowed.
He Zhuo’s gaze moved down from her face and landed on her neck, which twitched slightly as she swallowed.
A mischievous glint flashed in his eyes: “Hungry?”
“What?”
Before Jiang Youxi could react, a finger touched her throat, and a man’s casual chuckle drifted into her ears—
“Look, it’s moving.”
