- The Hero Kicked Me Out of His Party, So I Turned Him into My Maid
- Chapter 50 - Unexcused Absence Penalty
“I…I dislike Karina. She actually called me a piece of trash and falsely accused me of having an affair with Lord Brian. I’ll never forget the look on her face that day.”
This was, of course, a genuine expression of his feelings. Especially since Karina was plotting to get herself expelled from the academy.
Queen Linda paused, then stood up. The knight outside opened the door and came to the king’s side to protect her.
“Ariel, I have one last question. Do you want to become a hero?”
“No, no, Your Majesty, I have never had the intention of becoming a hero. If I had wanted to, I would have come to see Your Majesty when my suitability was discovered.”
Queen Linda nodded in satisfaction:
“Ariel, go see Mira. You need to have a proper celebration.”
Ariel followed the knight’s guidance and quickly left the room to see Mira.
I can’t contain my excitement any longer and don’t want to wait even a second longer.
This was absolutely the most wonderful day of Mila’s life.
On the stone-paved road of the palace, Ariel encounters Luna.
Luna is dressed in aristocratic attire today, with her long black hair flowing down her back, wearing a pure white gauze dress, and her forearms covered with long white gloves, on which a beautiful flower is outlined with gold thread.
When she saw Ariel, she stopped to greet her.
“Ariel, I’ve heard about it. Please pass on Mira’s heartfelt congratulations to her.”
Ariel smiled slightly:
“I think Mira would be even happier to know that you are congratulating her.”
“Oh, before the final written exams, the Dean will be leading a group to check out the recently discovered Labyrinthian settlement. But don’t worry, I’ll definitely be back before the team exams…”
Then, Luna’s lips curled up and she raised her eyebrows slightly:
“This week’s ‘Spiritual Pivot Harmony Ritual’ will be Lise’s turn. You two enjoy it, and make sure it lasts!”
“I last a long time!”
Ariel blurted out, then suddenly realized what she had said and quickly covered her mouth, her face turning bright red instantly.
“I’ll have to ask Lise then. See you in two weeks, Ariel.”
Ariel dared not look at Luna again, and remembering the words she had just blurted out, she wished she could disappear into a crack in the ground.
He felt that even the guiding knight was looking at him strangely.
However, I am very persistent. Last time I practiced with Lise for a full two hours. Isn’t that long enough?
“Ariel!”
He didn’t see Mira, but Mira spotted him from a distance, then rushed over in a few quick steps and hugged him tightly, her arms bursting with unimaginable strength.
After being hugged by Mila, it felt like being pressed down by two walls, causing pain all over her body and making it hard to breathe.
“Ouch…it hurts so much, Mila, be gentle…”
“Oh, I’m sorry! I can’t control my power yet.”
Mira loosened her grip and said happily:
“Before, my magic circuits were not flowing smoothly, so I couldn’t use the true abilities of these organs. Now I can!”
“I remember you saying that these are the strongest in the tribe…”
“That’s right, so I can now say that I have the eyes of an eagle, the strength of a gorilla, and the speed of a leopard. When it comes to close combat, I can spar with the students from the Warrior Academy!”
“Alright, alright, Mira is the best! Let’s go, we’re in a good mood today, let’s splurge a little and buy some dragon meat to cook!”
“Great! Ariel is the best!”
After buying dragon meat at the East Market, as the sun set and they returned to their dormitory, Ariel and Mira’s faces froze instantly.
Because there was a disciplinary notice posted on the dormitory room door:
Student Council/Disciplinary Committee Notice
To: Alyssa and Mila
Upon investigation, it was found that you two were absent from the entire day of classes without cause on the 13th day of the Frosty Month (the first day of classes after the autumn break) without reporting to any teachers or the Academic Affairs Office.
This behavior constitutes a serious violation of the college’s attendance regulations, and the ruling is as follows:
Starting today, entry into any classrooms, training grounds, and public study areas is prohibited for 15 days (until the 28th of the month).
This ruling is effective immediately.
Student Council President, Acting Disciplinary Committee Member: Vera Sofia
(Printed by the Student Union)
The order was issued on the 14th of the Frost Month.
“
…
Mila read the ticket over and over again before finally realizing what it meant:
“Does this mean we’re being banned from attending classes because we didn’t report to the college?”
Ariel tore off the ticket, her voice low:
That’s right.
“But the dean knows why we skipped class without reason, right? If the dean knows, how could the student council not know?”
Mira entered the room first, changed out of her witch boots, took her own indoor shoes and put them on; the wounds on her ankles had completely healed.
“The academy head has not returned to the academy; he has already set off to leave the capital.”
Ariel then entered and handed the dragon meat and the rest of the cooking ingredients to Brienne, who was already waiting at the door.
Brienne came over and quietly carried the ingredients to the kitchen.
“And what about Senior Luna? She knows too!”
Ariel shook her head:
“She left the capital with the headmaster. I’m sorry, Mira, I’ve dragged you into this. I’m afraid this was Vera’s doing, taking advantage of the headmaster and the disciplinary committee chairman’s absence.”
“Huh? It’s alright, Ariel, it’s nothing… Isn’t the student council president your former teammate?”
Ariel sighed:
“That’s a long story. Let’s enjoy the dragon meat dish. Today is a joyous day, let’s put this matter behind us for now. Mira, you can handle your own body, what can’t you handle this little thing!”
“Okay, I’m going to study now. Let’s study hard so our alliance is unbreakable!”
Mira walked around in her indoor shoes. The floor was spotless, without a speck of dust.
Furthermore, all the items inside have been rearranged, making them neat, orderly, and pleasing to the eye.
“Hey? Where’s my ‘Basic Magic Rune Techniques’?”
Brienne, who was preparing ingredients in the kitchen, immediately came to Mila and said respectfully:
“Miss Mila, I’ve placed it on your bookshelf and inserted a bookmark on the third page so you can continue reading later.”
Mira took out “Basic Magic Runes” from the pile of textbooks on the bookshelf. On the third page, she saw a crystal bookmark with the words “Mira” beautifully written in magical runes.
Mira couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration:
“Brienne, you’re a qualified maid now!”
Brienne showed no delight, no jubilation, but simply replied calmly:
“It’s what I should do.”
“Hmm, I didn’t expect that the automaton’s intelligence would be so sudden, like a person suddenly gaining enlightenment. By the way, Brienne, do you know Basic Magic Runes?”
“She won’t, Mira. She’s just an automaton. She doesn’t have much knowledge. It’s already quite good that she knows some common sense.”
Ariel quickly interrupted Mira and Brienne’s conversation.
Brian herself is an outstanding graduate of the academy, and as a former hero, she must have a thorough understanding of “Basic Magic Runes”.
However, if we rashly allow him to demonstrate his knowledge of the academy, he might face a lot of suspicion later, which would only increase the risk of exposure.
Brian, just be a maid and that’s all that matters to you.
