The weather was warm, but it was very cool under the banyan tree. A gentle breeze made Chen Feng yawn, so he simply leaned against the banyan tree and dozed off.

Half an hour later, the group walked and talked as they passed by the mine gate. The security personnel immediately stood up straight, as these were leaders of the mine and could not be neglected.

“Xiao Wu, your uncle and I are old classmates. I also know your father and grandfather. When you come here, don’t worry about anything else. Just do your job well. If you have any difficulties, just tell me.” A man said with a proud face, “I dare not say more. In Wanhuai, your uncle’s words still carry some weight.”

“Thank you, Yang Kuang,” Wu Wenhua said with a smile as he followed beside him.

Mine manager Yang Yougong smiled helplessly and said, “What’s with all this ‘Yang Mine’ stuff? Are we getting too distant?”

“Uncle, this is during working hours,” Wu Wenhua said with a smile.

Yang Yougong was taken aback for a moment, then laughed and said, “Yes, yes, I almost forgot about that. Okay, during work hours we call it job title. After get off work today, come to my place. I got a bottle of good wine, let’s have a couple of drinks?”

“Alright, if Yang Kuang is in the mood, then let’s drink.” Wu Wenhua smiled and just as he finished speaking, he turned around to turn the corner and saw a person sitting under the big banyan tree at the mine entrance, fast asleep.

Wu Wenhua had a good memory, especially for Chen Feng, so he recognized Chen Feng at a glance. He then said to Yang Yougong beside him, “Yang Kuang, I know that person outside. Why don’t you go first…!”

“Alright, I’ll take my leave now, so as not to disturb your conversation, young people.” Yang Kuang nodded slightly and left with a smile.

Wu Wenhua then called over the security personnel and asked, “Is that Chen Feng? When did he arrive?”

The security guard quickly replied, “It’s been almost an hour. He tried calling your office, but couldn’t get through, so he had to wait outside.”

Wu Wenhua nodded slightly, then walked out of the mine gate and came to the big banyan tree. Chen Feng felt extremely comfortable. The banyan tree was crooked, and the spot where he sat was like a recliner. With a gentle breeze blowing, he felt incredibly comfortable.

“Hey, wake up, Chen Feng, wake up!” Wu Wenhua reached out and patted Chen Feng on the shoulder.

Chen Feng felt someone patting him. He opened his eyes groggily and subconsciously wiped away non-existent drool from the corner of his mouth before he could see Wu Wenhua’s face clearly.

“Section Chief Wu.” Chen Feng quickly stood up and smiled, “Hello, Section Chief Wu, we meet again.”

Wu Wenhua looked about the same age as Chen Feng, but was actually a few years older than Chen Feng, so they could be considered peers. Wu Wenhua felt more at ease around Chen Feng.

“Yes! We meet again. I heard from the security department that you’ve been here for a while. You’re not about to bring me some good news so soon, are you?” Wu Wenhua asked with a smile.

Chen Feng grinned and said slowly, “There is some good news, but it won’t be finalized so quickly. However, I’m here today to give you something good. I just don’t know if Section Chief Wu would be willing to give it a try.”

“Try it? What is it?” Wu Wenhua asked in confusion.

Chen Feng patted his crossbody bag. It was sewn by his mother when he first came to work in the city, and it even had quotes on it.

Wu Wenhua was very curious about Chen Feng’s bag, so he said, “Let’s go to my office first, and then we can talk slowly.”

Wu Wenhua said thoughtfully, “So this thing can produce oxygen, right? I think I know what it’s used for now.”

The name of the chemical oxygen self-rescue device basically summarizes its function, so Wu Wenhua understood the gist of it as soon as he heard the name.

Chen Feng nodded and explained, “Indeed, it contains a chemical reagent that can produce oxygen after a reaction.”

“Section Chief Wu, I am familiar with the situation down in the mine. I have gone down the mine with the leaders before, and I know all kinds of risks, among which gas is a very deadly thing.”

“And this self-rescue device of mine can be used to save the miners after they know that there is toxic gas. Look here, clip on the nose clip, bite the mouth plug, and then exhale into it.
