March 7th watched as You Yan stood up, straightened his collar, and looked ready to go out on business.

“Wait, wait, wait!” She quickly grabbed his sleeve. “You’re really going? I was just kidding! That ice cream machine is so expensive, I saw it in an ad, it costs hundreds of thousands of credits!”

“I know.”

“You knew that, yet you still went?”

“Because I have a way.” You Yan turned his head. “If I say it will happen, it will happen.”

Youyan arrived at the train’s storage room.

There is a lot of trash and junk left behind by former passengers of the train. Of course, once cleaned up, it becomes useful material.

March 7th followed behind, watching him rummage through things like he was picking through trash, his expression growing increasingly confused.

“You’re planning to use all this stuff to make me an ice cream maker?”

“To be precise, it’s about assembling an ice cream machine for you using these things. As long as the principle is the same, the materials don’t matter. In fact… the old stuff has a stronger cooling effect than current consumer products.”

“But…that’s really dirty!”

“It’ll be fine after washing.”

Youyan picked up the removed condenser tube and examined it against the light.

Half an hour later.

A strange machine, about half a person’s height, resembling a reactor with exposed wires and pipes, stood on the table in the storage room.

“All done.” You Yan patted the dust off his hands, looking at his masterpiece with satisfaction. “I’ll have Uncle Yang give it a shell later.”

Making a suitable outer shell is quite easy for Uncle Yang.

“Let’s go find Uncle Yang.”

You Yan patted the dust off his hands and pointed to the pile of coils and pipes on the table that looked like they could explode at any moment.

“Will this… really work?”

The two carried the heavy pile of mechanical components into the observation car. Walter was sitting on the sofa, drinking tea and looking at the starry sky outside the window.

“What is this, a liquid nitrogen launcher?”

“…Actually, no, it’s an ice cream machine I made for Senior March.”

“Why make an ice cream machine into a liquid nitrogen cannon?” Walter was puzzled. In his professional opinion, if this thing really malfunctioned, its power would be equivalent to a bomb that could blow up a train.

Never mind, if anything goes wrong, we can stop it immediately.

Uncle Yang was even more efficient than You Yan had expected. In less than ten minutes, the machine that looked like a reactor was covered with a simple and elegant white shell, and a transparent observation window was thoughtfully opened on the top.

“Now it looks like it was bought from a store.”

March 7th couldn’t contain himself any longer and came over to look at it from left to right: “Can it really be used? Can it really make 30 different flavors?”

“Theoretically, it’s possible.” You Yan patted the top of the machine. “Want to give it a try?”

Milk, sugar, and various flavored jams are mixed according to the recipe and poured into the machine’s feeding port.

Press the switch.

The machine emitted a soft hum, and through the observation window, one could see the internal agitator beginning to turn slowly. A layer of frost quickly formed on the surface of the condenser coils, and cold air drifted out through the gaps.

About two minutes later, the machine emitted a crisp “ding”.

Youyan opened the spout and filled a large cup with a pre-prepared paper cup. The ice cream had a smooth texture and a faint vanilla flavor.

“Let me try it! Let me try it!”

March 7’s eyes lit up instantly, and she took the ice cream and took a bite.

“—Delicious! It has a rich milky flavor! And the texture is really great!”

She finished the small cup in a few bites, then stared longingly at the machine.

“Can you make some more?”

“Of course, this is your ice cream machine.”

“Then I want strawberry flavor! Chocolate flavor! Mint flavor! And…and…”

Are you sure your stomach can hold that much?

“My stomach is a gateway to another dimension!” March 7th declared confidently. “Besides, sweets like ice cream are stored in another stomach, didn’t you know that?”

Half an hour later.

On March 7th, she collapsed on the sofa—she ate ten cups of ice cream.

“I…I really can’t eat anymore…Could you help me move this to my room?”

Is this a wish?

No!

“All right.”

Youyan and March 7 worked together to move the heavy ice cream machine into March 7’s room, although it was mostly March 7 who did the work.

March 7th plopped down on the bed, looking at the brand-new ice cream machine in the corner, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.

“I own an ice cream machine now! I can eat whenever I want!”

“Remember to eat in moderation,” You Yan said. “Be careful not to get an upset stomach if you eat too much in one day… What about the remaining two wishes? Have you thought about them?”

“Not yet.” March 7th shook his head. “Of course, I should save this good opportunity for later! What if I want something particularly difficult to obtain someday? Wouldn’t that come in handy then?”

“Yes, holding onto options is often more valuable than exercising them immediately, especially in the face of uncertainty. You don’t need to rush to cash them in now, because my abilities may change in the future as my fate shifts, and the returns you can get then may far exceed your current expectations.”

March 7th was completely confused and blinked her big eyes at him.

“Although I don’t understand what you’re saying, it feels like you’re praising me for being smart?”

“That’s one way to understand it.”

March 7th’s room was filled with a girlish atmosphere, the walls covered with photos she had taken in various worlds, each carefully framed in a different style. There was also a Pam doll on the bedside table.

“Hey, Youyan.”

“Um?”

“You know… what should I wish for the remaining two wishes?” March 7th put down her cup, sat cross-legged on the bed, still holding the Pam doll in her arms, resting her chin on the doll’s head, and looking at him with bright eyes.

“As long as it’s not an outrageous request like plucking stars from the sky or destroying the universe, I’ll try my best to fulfill it.” You Yan shrugged. “Of course, it’s best to make the request when I’m still [Intelligence] or some other useful destiny. If I become [Nothingness], and you make a wish to me, I might answer you [It’s meaningless].

Gurgle.

On March 7th, his expression suddenly changed; his face turned deathly pale at a visible speed, and then quickly flushed red.

It’s obvious that March 7th might be in trouble with stomach problems.

“I just can’t do anything with you (Doraemon’s voice).”

You Yan rummaged in his pocket.

“Here, a special patch for treating stomach problems. Just stick it on the area that hurts.”

“You…how could you have something like this?”

“Because I saw you eating so much ice cream, I just grabbed a slice from Pam. I know you won’t listen if I tell you to eat less.”
