The two lackeys behind Iloya immediately stiffened.

Fox spirit?

No one had ever dared address someone like that in front of Iloya.

Yet Tang Sui showed no sign of anger.

Instead, she smiled.

The smile only made her look even more dazzling.

“Thank you.”

“I’ll take that as a compliment.”

Iloya’s brows drew together.

She disliked Tang Sui immediately.

Not because Tang Sui was rude.

But because she was beautiful.

Far too beautiful.

Since childhood, Iloya had always been the center of attention.

No matter where she went, every gaze inevitably settled on her.

Now, for the first time, she had encountered someone who could rival her.

Perhaps even surpass her.

“How shameless.”

Iloya folded her arms across her chest.

Tang Sui tilted her head.

“Is that so?”

“I think I’m rather honest.”

Her gaze drifted over Iloya’s face.

Golden curls.

Emerald eyes.

Perfect features.

What a beautiful human.

Tang Sui found herself genuinely admiring her appearance.

Unfortunately…

Beautiful people often came with troublesome personalities.

“Are you staring at me?”

Iloya narrowed her eyes.

Tang Sui nodded openly.

“Yes.”

“You’re very pretty.”

The direct compliment caught Iloya slightly off guard.

Most people praised her because they wanted something.

Tang Sui sounded as though she were merely stating a fact.

Still…

That wasn’t enough to improve her mood.

“You’re Tang Sui?”

“I heard Song Fanxing kissed you.”

Tang Sui smiled.

“News travels quickly.”

Iloya’s expression darkened further.

“So it’s true.”

The surrounding air seemed to cool.

The lackeys exchanged nervous glances.

Everyone at Hermilia Academy knew what happened to people who angered Iloya.

She was beautiful.

Rich.

Talented.

And impossibly arrogant.

Tang Sui, however, looked completely relaxed.

“You like Song Fanxing?”

Iloya lifted her chin.

“Of course.”

“She belongs to me.”

The answer made Tang Sui laugh.

Belongs?

Humans really enjoyed saying things like that.

Song Fanxing wasn’t an object.

Nor was she anyone’s possession.

“She doesn’t seem to agree.”

Tang Sui’s voice remained gentle.

Iloya clicked her tongue.

“She will eventually.”

“She just hasn’t realized how fortunate she is.”

Tang Sui studied her for a moment.

Then sighed.

Another one.

Another protagonist with completely distorted values.

The original novel really had gathered an impressive collection of problem children.

“You know…”

Tang Sui stepped closer.

“People don’t become yours simply because you want them to.”

Iloya lowered her gaze.

For the first time, she noticed something strange.

Tang Sui was standing very close.

Close enough for her to catch a faint fragrance.

It smelled sweet.

Dangerously sweet.

Almost addictive.

Her heart skipped unexpectedly.

Iloya immediately frowned.

What was that?

Meanwhile, Tang Sui’s attention drifted elsewhere.

She could hear movement inside Classroom 305.

Song Fanxing was probably still fixing her clothes.

Thinking about it made her smile.

Iloya noticed instantly.

“Why are you smiling?”

Tang Sui answered honestly.

“Because I’m in a good mood.”

That only made Iloya more irritated.

“You kissed her.”

“Yes.”

“You hugged her.”

“Yes.”

“And she let you?”

Tang Sui blinked.

“Yes.”

Each calm answer made Iloya’s expression darker.

Finally, she let out a cold laugh.

“I understand now.”

“You’re the thief.”

Tang Sui raised an eyebrow.

“A thief?”

“The one who stole what belongs to me.”

The two lackeys behind Iloya immediately lowered their heads.

Whenever Iloya spoke in this tone, someone was about to suffer.

Tang Sui, however, only laughed.

“You’re adorable.”

Silence.

Complete silence.

The lackeys nearly stopped breathing.

No one had ever called Iloya adorable before.

Iloya herself froze briefly.

Then her beautiful face darkened.

“What did you say?”

Tang Sui smiled innocently.

“I said you’re adorable.”

“Like a peacock.”

“A very beautiful peacock.”

The comparison somehow sounded insulting.

Iloya took a slow step forward.

Their eyes met.

One pair green as a forest.

The other soft and smiling.

For several seconds, neither spoke.

Then Iloya suddenly asked,

“Do you know who I am?”

Tang Sui nodded.

“Iloya Fechmondia.”

“One of the Four Princesses.”

Iloya’s lips curved slightly.

“At least you’re informed.”

“But knowing my name and still standing here…”

“You’re either brave.”

“Or stupid.”

Tang Sui considered the question seriously.

“Perhaps neither.”

“Maybe I just don’t find you frightening.”

Iloya stared at her.

Then laughed.

For the first time since arriving at school.

A genuine laugh.

Interesting.

This woman was genuinely interesting.

No wonder Song Fanxing kissed her.

No wonder Qiao Ling hated her.

No wonder even Fu Juezhou seemed different lately.

The more she looked at Tang Sui…

The more curious she became.

And curiosity was always dangerous.

Especially when directed at someone like Tang Sui.

Behind the classroom door, Song Fanxing finally stepped out.

The moment she saw Iloya standing face-to-face with Tang Sui, her expression immediately changed.

A bad feeling rose in her chest.

Because whenever Iloya became interested in something…

She never let it go.
