Tang Sui smiled as she hooked a finger around Fu Juezhou’s loosened tie, gently pulling her closer.

Tilting her head slightly, she closed the distance until their faces were only inches apart.

To anyone watching, it looked as though they were about to kiss.

Fu Juezhou’s grip tightened around Tang Sui’s ankle.

Smooth, pale skin slipped through her fingers, carrying a faint fragrance that only made the atmosphere hotter.

Her gaze lowered to the crimson lips just before her.

“What’s your name?”

she asked again.

Their breaths mingled.

The room fell into complete silence.

Tang Sui chuckled softly.

“My name is Tang Sui…”

“…your dear stepmother.”

Fu Juezhou’s expression froze.

She abruptly shoved Tang Sui away.

“Tang Sui?”

Leaning lazily against the bed, Tang Sui crossed one leg over the other.

“Yes.”

“It’s me.”

“Were you disappointed?”

“You almost slept with the stepmother you hate so much.”

A dark look settled over Fu Juezhou’s face.

The murderous chill in her eyes deepened.

Completely unbothered, Tang Sui continued teasing,

“I never imagined this side of you.”

“You’re willing to jump into bed with someone you just met.”

“You’re surprisingly easy.”

With her black hair still damp, fair skin glowing beneath the warm light, and bathrobe hanging loosely from her shoulders, every casual movement made her look irresistibly seductive.

Fu Juezhou could barely suppress the urge to strangle her.

“Are you trying to die?”

Tang Sui blinked innocently.

“You think you can kill me?”

A cold smile slowly curved Fu Juezhou’s lips.

“Have you forgotten where you are?”

“Fu Qing won’t protect you.”

“Maybe when she gets back…”

“You can try seducing her with that shameless attitude instead.”

Tang Sui tilted her head.

“You mean what happened at school?”

“Yu Ying and the others?”

Stretching out her slender fingers, she admired them thoughtfully.

“They’re probably still in the hospital.”

At that moment, someone knocked on the bedroom door.

“Miss Tang.”

“Your chocolate cake is ready.”

Tang Sui casually pulled her bathrobe closed.

“Come in.”

The servant entered with a dessert cart.

The moment she noticed Fu Juezhou, she bowed respectfully.

“Young Miss.”

Then she stopped, silently awaiting further instructions.

Without even looking at Tang Sui, Fu Juezhou spoke coldly.

“Take everything away.”

Tang Sui immediately protested.

“That’s my cake!”

The servant didn’t hesitate.

She quietly wheeled the cart back out.

The door closed again.

Fu Juezhou let out a mocking laugh.

“Don’t you understand yet?”

“You’ll always be an outsider here.”

“And don’t ever call me by those disgusting names again.”

“I’m not your daughter.”

“And you’re certainly not my stepmother.”

“You’re nothing but filthy trash.”

For perhaps the first time in years, genuine anger seeped into Fu Juezhou’s voice.

The colder her gaze became, the sharper it felt.

Tang Sui simply sighed.

“What a troublesome child.”

Fu Juezhou frowned.

“Are you so old that you’ve started seeing everyone as children?”

Oddly enough…

The word didn’t sound unnatural coming from Tang Sui.

She carried herself with a maturity far beyond her age.

Enough that Fu Juezhou had mistaken her for Fu Qing’s lover at first sight.

This was only their second meeting.

And they had nearly ended up in bed together.

Yawning lazily, Tang Sui pulled back the blankets.

“You’re not cute at all.”

“I’m going to sleep.”

Unable to endure another second in the same room, Fu Juezhou turned and left.

Back in her own bedroom, she showered repeatedly, scrubbing at her skin until it reddened.

“Tang Sui…”

“I’ve been completely fooled.”

She blamed herself for allowing a moment of desire to cloud her judgment.

There would never be a second time.

That night, Fu Juezhou couldn’t sleep.

Every time she closed her eyes, she saw Tang Sui standing on the third-floor balcony beneath the warm corridor lights, looking down at her almost like a goddess.

The image refused to leave her mind.

She wasn’t the only insomniac.

Lying in her dormitory bed, Song Fanxing absentmindedly scrolled across her phone screen without actually reading anything.

Had she gone too far earlier?

Tang Sui had called them friends.

Could people who kissed each other still be considered just friends?

Tang Sui had even said there was no need to continue kissing.

She had taught Song Fanxing how to unlock the classroom herself.

That should have been good news.

After all…

She disliked women.

Kissing another woman disgusted her.

And Tang Sui clearly wanted much more than kisses.

She wanted hugs.

Touches.

Something deeper.

Song Fanxing could never accept that.

From now on, she would no longer have to endure Tang Sui’s sticky, overly sweet kisses every lunchtime.

Setting her phone beside the pillow, she slowly closed her eyes.

But another thought surfaced.

Tang Sui was actually a very good person.

If she kissed someone else instead…

Or became intimate with someone else…

What would that look like?

Would she smile at them the same way?

Realizing where her thoughts were heading, Song Fanxing took a deep breath and forcibly stopped herself.

They were still friends.

They simply didn’t need to kiss anymore.

Next Monday…

She would buy Tang Sui a chocolate cake as thanks.

Saturday arrived.

According to Butler Li, Fu Qing wouldn’t return until Sunday.

The only people inside the villa were Tang Sui, Fu Juezhou, and the household staff.

At breakfast, Tang Sui sat casually at one end of the table.

Fu Juezhou occupied the seat opposite.

Dressed in a white sweater and matching trousers instead of her school uniform, she looked colder than ever.

In front of the servants, however, she displayed no obvious hostility.

After quietly finishing breakfast, she returned directly to her room.

The villa was enormous.

Unless either of them deliberately sought the other out, they could easily spend an entire day without crossing paths.

Putting down her cutlery, Tang Sui smiled politely at a nearby servant.

“Could you tell Butler Li…”

“I’d like some beautiful long dresses.”

The young servant blushed immediately.

Ever since Tang Sui had cut her bangs, her entire demeanor had changed.

Even more striking than her appearance was the confidence and elegance she now carried.

“Yes, Miss Tang.”

After the servant hurried away, Tang Sui settled comfortably onto the living room sofa.

Taking out her phone, she began searching for erotic novels.

Life was simply too boring without entertainment.

She searched for Desire Academy.

Dozens of results appeared.

Unfortunately…

None of them were the one she had originally read.

Sighing, she selected another novel at random.

Leaning lazily against the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, long black hair cascading across her shoulders, she radiated effortless charm.

Even the servants unconsciously lowered their footsteps, afraid of disturbing her.

The spacious living room remained almost completely silent.

Only the occasional soft laugh escaped Tang Sui as she continued reading.

After some time, Butler Li approached.

“Miss Tang.”

“Your dresses have arrived.”

As he spoke, his eyes inadvertently drifted toward her phone screen.

Bright advertisements.

Intertwined bodies.

Suggestive words.

He immediately looked away.

After a brief pause, he politely asked,

“Would you like us to install a privacy filter on your phone?”

Tang Sui looked up and smiled.

“No need.”

With one swipe, she dismissed the advertisement.

“Actually…”

“Could you arrange for someone to create a website without ads?”

“That would be much more convenient.”

Butler Li paused.

“…Of course.”

Then Tang Sui smiled again.

“Thank you.”

“And where are my dresses?”

At a signal from Butler Li, several models entered the villa one after another, each wearing a different elegant gown.

“Please have a look.”

Tang Sui slowly rose to her feet.

“They’re all beautiful.”

Then, after a thoughtful pause, she added,

“I’ll take all of them.”

Her tone was strangely ambiguous.

Almost as though she wasn’t referring only to the dresses.

Several of the young models blushed beneath her gaze.

Even Butler Li noticed the subtle fascination in their expressions.

Miss Tang truly was extraordinary.

He had seen countless beautiful women.

None compared.

Quietly suppressing his thoughts, he replied,

“As you wish.”

The dresses were delivered upstairs.

The models departed.

Tang Sui headed back toward Fu Qing’s bedroom.

She planned to nap before going out again later.

To her surprise…

Someone was already inside.

Fu Juezhou.

Tang Sui smiled mischievously.

“Well, well.”

“Isn’t this our lovely daughter?”

“What brings you into your mother’s room?”

Fu Juezhou’s lips twitched into a cold smile.

“Tang Sui.”

“Did you eat something disgusting?”

“Your mouth smells awful.”

Raising an eyebrow, Tang Sui closed the bedroom door behind her.

Lightly touching her own lips, she asked with a teasing smile,

“Want to find out for yourself?”
