Grandma, how have you been feeling lately? Are you feeling any better?

Yu Guiwan helped Grandma Wang sit on the sofa, but kept holding her hand the whole time.

Grandma Wang patted her hand and smiled, “You’re much better now. Grandma is in good health.”

She looked closely at the girl in front of her and sighed, “But you, how come you’ve lost so much weight?”

Yu Guiwan smiled and said, “No way? Maybe I just miss Grandma too much?”

Grandma Wang laughed heartily, “Haha, you just know how to make Grandma happy.”

“No, I’m telling the truth.”

The group chatted idly like that.

Grandma Wang asked most about Yu Guiwan’s life after leaving Yunling Town.

Yu Guiwan only casually mentioned her time at the Yu family.

Most of the conversations take place in Danwon.

The man sitting to the side had distinct features, and his every move exuded an undeniable air of nobility and presence.

When he’s not smiling, he always seems to exude a somewhat intimidating aura.

Although he didn’t smile much at this moment, his eyes and brows were gentle.

Wang Shengye watched calmly.

Jiang Yuhuai calmly brewed the tea.

Listening to Yu Guiwan’s voice.

After hearing this, Grandma Wang felt more at ease.

She had known what kind of people the Yu family were for a long time.

Having watched Yu Guiwan grow up from childhood, she felt especially sorry for this child.

But from what she said, life after marrying into the Danwon family seemed to have improved by more than just a little bit.

Grandma Wang’s gaze towards Jiang Yuhuai became much kinder.

“Mr. Jiang, thank you for being so kind to my Wanwan.”

Jiang Yuhuai’s voice was slightly low, “Wanwan is my wife. It’s my duty to treat her well. Grandma, you don’t need to thank me.”

Grandma Wang smiled and said, “Yes, you’re right.”

She gently patted Yu Guiwan’s hand again, “Will Grandma’s sudden arrival disturb you?”

Yu Guiwan shook her head, “No, I just finished class.”

Wang Shengye’s brow twitched.

A hint of surprise flashed in Grandma Wang’s eyes, “Class?”

Jiang Yuhuai explained, “I arranged music lessons for Wanwan, which she takes at home.”

Wang Shengye: “…”

He gave the man a complicated look.

Grandma Wang nodded. “Oh, that’s good.”

She knew that Yu Guiwan didn’t like going to class.

The teachers at school have mentioned this to her more than once or twice.

I can’t learn anything no matter what I try.

He always failed his exams.

If it weren’t for the generous money from the Yu family, the school would probably have expelled Yu Guiwan long ago.

She was genuinely worried about Yu Guiwan.

What will happen to Wanwan if the Yu family decides not to take her in the future?

Later, Wang Shengye couldn’t stand it anymore and secretly told her that his grades had improved because of Yu Guiwan.

He also said that Yu Guiwan had her own plans, so there was no need to worry.

Grandma Wang then realized that this child was never just exceptionally intelligent.

So, I was both surprised and relieved to hear that she was actually willing to attend class.

It seemed that Yu Guiwan finally felt much more relaxed here.

“Grandma, have some tea.”

Jiang Yuhuai poured a cup of tea and handed it to him.

“Okay, okay.”

Grandma Wang quickly took it.

Jiang Yuhuai handed Yu Guiwan another cup, and then Wang Shengye.

After finishing our tea, it was almost lunchtime.

Grandma Wang hesitated for a while before speaking, “Xiao Jiang, can I use your kitchen for a bit? I’d like to cook a meal for Wanwan.”

She had never been to a house like this before.

But seeing how much thinner Yu Guiwan had become, she felt sorry for her and wanted to cook her a nice meal.

Yu Guiwan was slightly taken aback.

Just as she was about to speak.

Jiang Yuhuai spoke first, “Of course.”

He smiled faintly, “I was just about to ask Grandma which dishes Wanwan likes to eat? I’d like to learn from her.”

Jiang Dong and Jiangxi, standing at the door: “…”

I’m afraid that even Old Master Jiang might not receive such treatment from Jiang Yuhuai in the entire capital.

Yu Guiwan looked up, her eyes clearly showing surprise and confusion.

Grandma Wang realized what was happening and smiled again, “Okay, Grandma will teach you, I’ll teach you everything.”

Jiang Yuhuai smiled slightly, “Thank you, Grandma.”

He instructed Jiang Dong to have some fresh ingredients prepared and sent over, and he also asked Grandma Wang what ingredients and seasonings she needed.

Grandma Wang counted them one by one.

Jiang Yuhuai patiently nodded in agreement.

Jiang Dong went to prepare the ingredients.

A short while later, the housekeeper and his men brought over all the ingredients.

Jiang Yuhuai stood up, slowly unbuttoned his cuffs, and rolled up his sleeves.

He looked down at her, a gentle tenderness in his deep eyes. “I’m going to the kitchen to help Grandma. You stay here and play with Xiaoye for a while. Dinner will be ready soon.”

Wang Shengye: “…”

So he was just a tool.

Looking at his face, Yu Guiwan’s heart skipped a beat. “You want to learn how to cook Grandma?”

“Hmm, is that not allowed?” he asked.

Yu Guiwan’s eyelashes trembled slightly.

Jiang Yuhuai awaited her answer.

After a long pause, she shook her head. “No.”

Jiang Yuhuai’s eyes flickered slightly, then he smiled and said, “Okay.”

He accompanied Grandma Wang into the kitchen.

The two watched the scene inside from outside, speechless for a moment.

Wang Shengye glanced at Yu Guiwan and asked, “Sister Wan, may I take a look at where you live?”

Yu Guiwan looked away and hummed in agreement.

She got up and walked outside.

Wang Shengye followed.

Jiangxi originally wanted to follow suit.

Yu Guiwan suddenly stopped, as if she was thinking about something.

Her voice was gentle. “You stay here.”

“But your subordinate…”

Yu Guiwan said seriously, “I’m afraid he’ll blow up the kitchen. My grandma is still inside. If anything happens, remember to get her out first.”

Jiangxi’s lips twitched. “…Yes.”

Jiang Dong stood to the side with a complicated expression, “…”

Wang Shengye raised an eyebrow, then followed after him.

The two walked towards the garden.

“Sister Wan.”

Yu Guiwan walked slowly, stopping every now and then to touch the flowers.

She hummed in agreement.

Wang Shengye’s expression was very complicated. “Are you sure this is the legendary Third Master Jiang?”

Yu Guiwan’s expression remained unchanged. “Hmm, doesn’t it seem like it?”

Wang Shengye: “…Do you think it looks like it?”

Yu Guiwan plucked a flower, thought for a moment, and said, “It’s alright.”

She didn’t know much about Jiang Yuhuai.

Whenever.

Wang Shengye remained silent for a few seconds.

He saw the ravaged flowers in her hand, and his lips twitched slightly.

“By the way, Sister Wan, actually, Jiang Yuhuai didn’t come to pick up Grandma and me specifically.”

Yu Guiwan paused and turned around.

“What did you say?”
