Chen Feng was startled. He looked up and saw smoke billowing out of a room.

Chen Feng saw a person sitting on the floor. He gritted his teeth, covered his mouth and nose, rushed in, grabbed the person, and pulled him out. Fortunately, the room was not very big, and it only took a few seconds.

The woman pulled out was in her early twenties, wearing black-rimmed glasses. Her appearance was… hard to tell. Her face was covered in soot. She seemed a little dazed when she was first pulled out, but after resting in a well-ventilated area, she was fine.

Half an hour later, the girl washed herself, and the two chatted next to the laboratory where they had been.

“Chemistry Department? What do you want with the Chemistry Department?” The girl adjusted her glasses and asked curiously, “You’re not a Chemistry student, are you? I don’t think I’ve seen you before.”

Chen Feng chuckled and nodded, saying, “What you’re saying is ridiculous. If I were a chemistry student, I wouldn’t need to ask you for advice, would I? I have something to discuss with a chemistry professor.”

“You’ve come at a bad time! There’s a lecture in the Chemistry Department, and most people have already gone. They probably won’t be back until after five o’clock.”

The girl seemed to sense Chen Feng’s mood and asked, “What do you need to see a professor in the chemistry department for?”

Chen Feng shook his head. “No, I’m a worker at Wanhuai Machinery Factory. Our factory makes supporting equipment for Wanhuai Coal Mine.”
