March 7th glared at him angrily.

“It’s clearly your taste that’s the problem!”

“Is there something wrong with my aesthetic sense?” You Yan pointed to himself. “What’s wrong with it? It doesn’t look out of place at all.”

“It doesn’t feel out of place anywhere! It feels out of place everywhere!”

“But I feel it’s sacred (shrugs).”

“You don’t want to dress Uncle Yang’s Alahato in a swimsuit, do you? (horrified)”

“That’s not the case. Alahato is Uncle Yang’s treasure, and the Sky Thunder is my masterpiece. When the Sky Thunder goes to the battlefield, it will definitely be the most reliable partner.”

These words were spoken sincerely, and March 7’s expression finally softened a bit.

“That’s more like it…”

“However, if we ever encounter a situation where we need to confuse the enemy, the swimsuit paint job might actually come in handy.”

“You haven’t given up on this idea yet!”

Youyan walked to the other side of the observation room, where there were several holographic projection buttons on the control panel.

“Would you like to see the other features of Hyperion?”

“What else?” March 7th asked warily. “Is it going to be something related to swimsuits again?”

“No, Hyperion isn’t Miracle Nikki…”

He turned and walked to the other side of the observation room, where there was a closed metal door.

“Come on, I’ll take you to a fun place.”

“A fun place?” March 7th followed behind him suspiciously. “That’s what you said when you showed us that big robot in a swimsuit.”

“This time is different.” You Yan typed a series of commands on the panel by the door. “This time it’s really fun, and… very practical.”

Behind the door was a spacious circular hall, its walls composed of countless hexagonal crystal panels, and its floor engraved with intricate patterns, faintly emitting a pale blue glow. The center of the hall was empty, devoid of anything.

“Where is this again?” March 7th peeked in cautiously. “It’s empty, there isn’t even a chair.”

“This is the holographic simulation training room, or you could call it the Stigmata Space Simulator.”

You Yan walked to the center of the hall and snapped his fingers.

“Ai-chan, start the system and load Houmu Paradise.”

“Received! Houmu Paradise is loading, please wait~”

As soon as he finished speaking, the once empty hall underwent a dramatic transformation.

Countless light particles surged from the surrounding crystal panels, rapidly constructing themselves in the air. In just a few seconds, the once cold, metallic hall vanished, replaced by a vibrant, colorful amusement park.

A giant Houmu statue stands in the center, surrounded by a carousel, roller coaster, Ferris wheel, and Houmu dolls running around. Cheerful music fills the air, and the smell of popcorn and cotton candy even permeates the space.

Wow! This is so realistic!

“Actually… never mind, don’t worry too much about what this is. As long as everyone understands that this is a simulated space, but it’s realistic in every way, that’s fine,” You Yan said. “Are you ready, everyone? The next guest might be a little unfriendly.”

A faint smell of blood slowly grew stronger in the air, and several dark shadows emerged from the corner of the wall.

March 7th wanted to back away to create some distance, but instead crashed into an invisible wall with a bang.

“Simulated Stigmata Space Training System, Combat Mode Activated. Current Simulation Targets: Suicide Soldier, Assault-class Honkai Beast. Difficulty Level: Normal. Environment Realism: 100%”

Those dark shadows solidified completely.

They were several distorted humanoid creatures, dressed in tattered sailor-like clothing, their exposed skin a deathly pale ashen. They carried enormous scythes, their eyes covered by black blindfolds or some other substance, revealing only the lower half of their bloodless faces.

Behind them, several enormous, pure white planktonic creatures slowly rose into the air. They were Honkai Beasts, their massive wings resembling the limbs of some kind of crustacean, their tips shimmering with a pinkish-purple light.

“What…what kind of monster is this?”

“Honkai Beasts, and also suicide soldiers.”

Himeko was stunned, then frowned.

She stared at the slowly approaching white planktonic creatures, then looked at the human figures carrying scythes. A strange sense of familiarity lingered, yet she couldn’t pinpoint its exact source.

Very familiar?

March 7th had already drawn his bow, the arrow aimed at the nearest assassin: “These things look creepy… Can they move?”

As if in response to her question, the foremost assassin suddenly raised its head, revealing two points of scarlet light.

Of course.

“careful!”

Dan Heng reacted the fastest, his spear flashing out instantly, the tip piercing the assassin’s chest. However, the monster only staggered slightly, its scythe still swinging towards March 7th.

On March 7th, he sidestepped and simultaneously released the bowstring.

The ice arrow froze the assassin, and Dan Heng then shattered the assassin’s body.

The twisted figure finally collapsed, turning into specks of light and dissipating into the air.

“Phew—you scared me.” March 7th patted his chest.

“Uncle Yang is an expert at dealing with them.”

Youyan shrugged.

However, Walter is still playing Alahato.

Those Honkai Beasts were also destroyed by the combined attack of Danheng and March 7th.

“Phew—” March 7th put away his bow and let out a long breath. “You scared me! I thought you were going to be something special, but you’re just like that… Hey? Why aren’t the monsters attacking you?”

“According to the system’s judgment, I am a friendly unit or an unselectable unit. If they attack me, then there is a bug. The pain you feel when attacked is just a simulation, not real.”

“Oh, no wonder.” March 7th suddenly realized, “I knew it! When that big mosquito swarmed me, I clearly felt the pain, but I wasn’t hurt at all.”

Danheng put away his spear.

“These monsters have a very simple attack pattern,” he commented. “But if they appear in groups, it will be very troublesome.”

In normal mode, Danheng is not very good at dealing with large numbers of enemies.
