- Chapter 18 - Yuuhan: Ai-chan is very capable
Ai-chan & Ai-chan Miniatures
Himeko looked at the cabbage-shaped figure sitting on the control panel.
“That’s Ai-chan, the warship’s artificial intelligence. She’s responsible for the warship’s daily maintenance and stealing electricity.”
“I didn’t! I didn’t! Boss, how can you slander me like this!”
The holographic figure with the green cabbage hairstyle was jumping up and down in anger on the control panel, with its little hands on its hips.
“Ai-chan is the most hardworking, intelligent, and greatest AI on the Hyperion! She works tirelessly from dawn till dusk to maintain this ship, and you actually accused me of stealing electricity in front of the guests! My heart is breaking!”
You Yan slowly walked to the control panel and pointed at the cabbage head.
“You’re right, but how much electricity did you steal from me?”
“Does this warship have any super powerful weapons? Like those laser cannons that can pierce through a star with a single ‘whoosh’?”
On March 7th, I reached out and poked the little Ai-chan figure.
Ai-chan’s little body swayed as March Seven’s finger poked her, and her two little hands waved wildly in the air.
“Don’t poke! Don’t poke! It’s going to fall over! Oh no!”
The holographic miniature sat down on the control panel.
“My esteemed guest! Even though Ai-chan is a holographic projection, she still has dignity!”
March 7th’s eyes lit up even more: “Wow, it can get angry! How cute!”
“I’m the number one idol of the Hyperion!” Ai-chan got up, patted her clothes, and exclaimed, “Ai-chan is incredibly capable!”
“Yes, Ai-chan is very capable.”
“Yes…it’s not that I can’t,” Ai-chan said hesitantly.
“?”
“An idol?” March 7th tilted her head, looking the tiny holographic figure up and down. It had a cabbage-like hairstyle and big, round eyes.
“Ai-chan is the face of the Hyperion! A popular idol! A shining star!”
“But you were just accused of stealing electricity.”
“That’s slander! Pure slander!” Ai-chan exclaimed warmly. “The boss is always bringing this up! I was just… just borrowing a tiny bit of power to maintain the cute image of the number one idol! It’s a necessary expenditure!”
“Actually, she’s not the number one idol,” Yu Yan said. “Ai-chan and a certain Mr. Walter’s acquaintance both lost to Raven.”
“Boss, please don’t bring up something that’s hard to talk about! That doesn’t count! That absolutely doesn’t count!”
Ai-chan jumped in front of Yuu-yan and started pointing.
“Admit it, Ai-chan, sometimes admitting defeat is a form of idol etiquette.”
“I won’t listen! I won’t listen! Ai-chan is the number one idol! The number one idol forever!”
Ai-chan covered her ears and started rolling around on the control panel, looking just like a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum.
“By the way, I also have something on my ship that Mr. Walter couldn’t refuse: a decisive weapon.”
I couldn’t refuse.
Walter immediately perked up.
Youyan understands him well, and Walter knows this.
But Walter, having weathered many storms, quickly suppressed his expectations, adjusted his glasses, and spoke in a tone that suggested, “I was just asking casually.”
“What type of decisive weapon?”
“You’ll see when you see it.” Yu Yan turned and walked towards the back of the bridge. “Ai-chan, open the armory.”
The lights in the corridor lit up one by one as people walked, and the cold white light bands extended across the silver-gray metal walls. March 7 walked in the middle, his eyes never idle, looking left and right.
“Sizzle—”
With the sound of air pressure being released, the doors slid open to both sides.
What unfolded before everyone’s eyes was an enormous space.
The dome was lined with a dense array of lighting fixtures, and in the very center of the armory stood a gigantic humanoid mech.
It stood there quietly, its massive mechanical head drooping, and although the monitors above its eyes were dim, they still exuded an unimaginable sense of oppression.
Alahato
“If Uncle Yang doesn’t mind me using your idea,” You Yan said, standing at the foot of the mecha and looking up at the huge mechanical head. “To be precise, it’s an improved version of Alahato. The original design concept was yours, and I made some… uh, optimizations to that.”
“Of course I don’t mind.”
Upon closer inspection, the differences from the original can indeed be seen.
“Um…” March Seven looked at the motionless Walter and poked Himeko with some concern, “Uncle Yang, are you sure you’re not going crazy from excitement?”
“No,” Himeko said softly, “he is restraining himself.”
“restraint?”
“Resist the urge to jump up and start it now.”
Sure enough, the next second, Walter took a deep breath and turned around to look at Yu Yan.
“Youyan, this mech… can I go up and take a look?”
Although the tone was questioning, the longing in her eyes was almost overflowing.
“Of course, but are you really going to miss out on my other decisive weapon?”
“Another one…”
Walter’s steps abruptly halted.
He remained in a half-turned position, his gaze shifting back and forth between the improved Arahatto in front of him and the direction Youyan was pointing. His expression was like that of a child struggling with the choice between two options.
“Uncle Yang’s expression is so funny.”
front
back
Another huge white mechanical humanoid weapon has massive wing-like armor spread out on its back and shoulders, and it is just as cool as Alahato.
“The God-Slaying Weapon – Heavenly Thunder, which chokes Zeus, was born as the ’12th Spear to Slay the Gods,’ humanity’s last hope.”
Walter’s inner child, his romanticism—or rather, his masculine spirit—was ignited at that moment. All notions of composure and paternal reserve were cast to the winds.
“A panoramic cockpit, and the operating interface can automatically adjust according to the driver’s habits… Uncle Yang, you can drive either one.”
The demon of flames whispered.
“Um… since you’ve put it that way, then I’ll… give it a try?”
Walter ultimately couldn’t resist the temptation.
Oh dear, I’m so sorry!
Seeing Walter’s excited state, Youyan and the other three silently gave him some space.
After all, a man should keep a youthful spirit until he dies.
“Let’s go, let’s give Uncle Yang some time to enjoy his solitude.” You Yan turned around and led the remaining people toward another passage. “This is the living area. Although no one lives here now, all the facilities are complete.”
Passing through the living quarters, you arrive at the core area of the warship.
“This is the energy center of the Hyperion.”
The massive cylindrical device silently supplies power in the energy center.
Himeko’s gaze swept over the complex pipes and instrument panels: “This ship must consume a lot of energy, right? How did you solve the supply problem?”
You Yan pointed to a number.
“Do you see that number?”
“I see it, what’s that?”
“Each number represents a world bubble that is about to dissipate. The Hyperion’s energy comes from the core of those world bubbles that are about to dissipate. They serve as the Hyperion’s energy source and support its operation. At least for now, the Hyperion has an inexhaustible supply of energy.”
