“But I don’t know how to put it, it’s just… he seems to be able to create things that are inexplicable, and may even violate the laws of thermodynamics.” Himeko shook her head. “Walter, he’s not quite like you.”

“Indeed, I don’t have his strong desire to invent and his boundless creativity.”

Danheng looked at the newly renovated party carriage: “Where are the limits of his abilities?”

“I don’t know,” Himeko said, “but one thing is certain—his creativity far exceeded my expectations.”

“Just like that?” March 7th gestured, “Melt it, grind it, mix it, and you can create new furniture?”

“The process was certainly more complicated than that.” Himeko walked to the bar, her fingers lightly tracing the surface. “He said the train was like a watch, and then he started taking it apart. He wasn’t just taking it apart randomly; he was genuinely trying to understand the train’s structure.”

“It sounds pretty impressive…” March 7th scratched his head, “But how is this any different from Uncle Yang’s ability? In the end, they both conjure up new things.”

“The difference is that there are some things I can’t do…”

As they were talking, the automatic door connecting the party car to the observation car beeped softly and slid open slowly.

“Everyone, thank you for waiting.”

You Yan stood in the doorway, the dust on his clothes mostly brushed off, except for a few oil stains on his cuffs. He gestured for him to enter, a confident yet rational smile on his face.

“The Starry Sky Train Observation Car 2.0 is now open for your experience.”

“This is…” Walter walked to the table, reaching through the illusory planet, “A real-time star map?”

“We’ve integrated it with the train’s navigation system and optimized the data processing algorithm,” You Yan explained as he walked over to him. “The previous star map delay was about 0.5 seconds, but now it’s been reduced to 0.01 seconds. We’ve also added a gravitational wave detection module, which can provide early warnings of anomalies on the flight path…”

Then, Youyan began a countdown as if a bomb was about to explode.

“Ten, nine, eight…”

“Hey! What’s wrong?!” March 7th was startled and quickly came over.

Youyan’s voice grew fainter and fainter.

“Youyan? What are you counting?”

“Five, four, three…”

“Hello!”

“Two, one.”

Youyan collapsed to the ground with a thud.

“It’s still breathing! It scared me to death!”

“He must be exhausted.” Walter also squatted down and checked Youyan’s pupils. “He’s still conscious, but his body can’t hold on anymore. It seems that his physical condition is indeed very poor right now.”

“What should we do? Should we call a doctor? Is it too late for us to go back to the space station?”

“No need. Let him lie down for a while. Once the excitement wears off, his body will naturally give out.”

March 7th reached out and poked Youyan’s face.

“Is he still alive?”

“…I’m still alive.” You Yan opened his eyes a crack, his voice as weak as a mosquito’s buzz, “It’s just…I can’t move…Let me lie down for a while…”

“You scared me to death!” March 7th poked him again, puffing out her cheeks. “You were so energetic just now, how could you collapse like that?”

“My stamina bar… is almost empty… that’s normal…” Youyan explained weakly, “I started the countdown early… so you could be mentally prepared…”

“You call that counting down? You call that terrifying!”

“Let’s move him back to his room,” Himeko said. “Danheng, thank you for your help.”

“Um.”

———

Youyan had a dream.

In his dream, there was an endless white wasteland, with no sky, no earth, only pure white. He walked barefoot on the wasteland, and with each step, ripples spread out under his feet, as if he were walking on water, but without feeling any wetness.

In the distance, a tall tower could be vaguely seen, piercing the clouds, its top shimmering with a faint light.

Where is that?

He didn’t know, but he instinctively wanted to get closer to it.

“If you can’t understand…”

A voice suddenly rang in his ears, ethereal and distant, yet clear as if whispering in his ear.

“Then go and experience it.”

“who?”

You Yan turned around abruptly, but there was no one behind him, only the endless white wasteland.

“If you can’t…”

The voice sounded again, this time to his left, but it was somewhat ethereal.

“Then let the galaxy burn.”

———

“…Wake up…Youyan…Wake up…”

The indistinct sound pierced through the layers of mist and reached his ears.

“Phew…” He let out a long breath and leaned weakly against the pillow. “How long… have I been asleep?”

“A full ten hours!” March 7th held up two fingers to indicate, “I’ve been sleeping since noon! It’s already past ten o’clock at night!”

“Ten hours?” You Yan was somewhat surprised. “I slept for that long?”

What do you think?

“Mainly because my mind was full of thoughts at the time, I couldn’t stop, and I didn’t realize that my body had reached its limit.” You Yan recovered for a moment, then stood up. “Do you want to see the mature and steady Uncle Yang show that kind of unsteady expression?”

“What are you going to do? What dangerous invention are you planning this time?”

March 7th’s alert radar went up, and a pink hair swayed on its head.

“It’s not dangerous, it’s not dangerous.” You Yan waved his hand. “You should know Uncle Yang’s hobbies, right?”

“A big robot, of course.”

“Guess what I found while tidying up the storage room.”

You Yan took out a dusty plastic box from under the bed.

“What is this? Could it be something dangerous?”

“Danger? No, no, no.” You Yan shook his head, his smile growing brighter and brighter. “This is something that can instantly turn Uncle Yang into a passionate young man.”

“Huh?” March 7th was a little confused.

Youyan wiped the box.

“Come on, take a picture of this and let me see.”

On March 7th, I took out my terminal and scanned it.

“…A few limited edition, 1000-unit super-articulated figures released before the Amber Era? You’re giving this to Uncle Yang? —By the way, didn’t this belong to one of the passengers on the train?”

“I asked Pam, and Pam said it was a toy that someone didn’t want anymore. Don’t you think it’s funny to see Uncle Yang making that kind of face?”

Which expression?

“It’s that kind of expression—” Youyan gestured, “’Ah! This is!’ ‘Impossible!’ ‘How could this be!’ and then an expression of excitement that leaves them speechless.”

On March 7th, after imagining that scene, the corners of his mouth began to involuntarily turn up.

“Walk!”

The two sneakily made their way to the observation car.

Walter was sitting on the sofa, holding a book in his hands.

“Uncle Yang is indeed here,” March 7th whispered. “He reads here every night without fail.”

What are you doing?

Danheng’s voice suddenly rang out from behind.

“Wow!” March 7th almost jumped up. “Danheng! How come you walk so quietly!”

“There was a sound,” Dan Heng said calmly. “You just didn’t hear it. What are you trying to do?”
