Fu Juezhou’s eyelids twitched. “How did you end up with Tang Sui?”

Qiao Ling blinked, her brows knitting together in grievance. “It’s all your fault. You refused to help me…” The rest of the words stuck in her throat. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t reveal the truth about the contract.

She glared at Fu Juezhou with reddened eyes.

“Forget it. We’re not friends anymore. From now on, I’ll stay with Sui!”

The moment she finished speaking, her expression stiffened. The contract was far more overbearing than she’d imagined.

Without another word, she turned and slammed the apartment door behind her.

Fu Juezhou frowned. “What’s wrong with Qiao Ling all of a sudden?”

Standing beside her, Chu Shiqing quietly observed the closed door.

“My investigation never showed that Qiao Ling and Tang Sui became friends.”

Fu Juezhou glanced at her. “There are many things your investigation doesn’t know.”

“By the way, when are you leaving?”

Chu Shiqing smiled gently. “I’m in no hurry. I’d like to meet Tang Sui first. I’m curious about her.”

Fu Juezhou didn’t refuse. She wanted to see Tang Sui herself.

Inside the apartment, Qiao Ling walked straight to the living room.

Tang Sui was bent over the coffee table, calmly wiping away the last traces of dust.

“Sui.”

“I threw out the trash.”

Tang Sui stretched lazily before smiling.

“You’ve been very well-behaved today, Little Qiao Ling.”

Qiao Ling immediately wrapped both arms around Tang Sui’s waist from behind.

“Sui… you still haven’t answered my question.”

“How did your voice appear inside my head?”

“Can you tell what I’m doing?”

Tang Sui threw the damp cloth into the trash and shook her head.

“No.”

“I can only transmit my voice through the contract.”

“And only if we’re close enough.”

“If the distance is too great, even that won’t work.”

Qiao Ling lowered her head and tightened her embrace.

Tang Sui’s waist felt unbelievably slender beneath her hands.

If she were an ordinary human, it would be frighteningly easy to break.

But Tang Sui wasn’t human.

Ordinary methods meant nothing to her.

“I’ve behaved really well today.”

“I helped clean the apartment.”

“I even took out the trash.”

“I deserve a reward.”

Tang Sui smiled knowingly.

“What kind of reward?”

“Cancel the contract.”

Tang Sui laughed.

“If I removed it now, you’d probably cut me in half.”

“That won’t happen.”

Qiao Ling sighed dramatically before asking,

“Then what was the secret you mentioned?”

Tang Sui slowly closed her fingers.

“I can make your heart hurt.”

A sharp ache immediately spread through Qiao Ling’s chest.

She instinctively clutched at her heart.

Just as quickly as it came…

The pain disappeared.

Tang Sui smiled.

“As long as you’re a good girl, I’ll never use it.”

Qiao Ling’s smile instantly returned.

“I’ll be obedient.”

“I promise.”

Tang Sui gently pinched her cheek.

“Only obedient children deserve candy.”

Qiao Ling leaned into Tang Sui’s palm.

“Then what’s today’s reward?”

Tang Sui took out her phone.

“Do you like reading erotic novels?”

Qiao Ling tilted her head.

“Those?”

“I’m not interested.”

Tang Sui sighed.

“What a pity.”

“I rarely share my favorite website.”

Qiao Ling smiled.

“Then read it to me tonight.”

“I want to sleep with you.”

Tang Sui chuckled.

“Alright.”

She already knew what Qiao Ling was planning.

It didn’t bother her.

Night fell quickly.

On the first evening in her new home, Tang Sui received unexpected visitors.

Fu Juezhou arrived with a beautiful girl sitting in a wheelchair.

Qiao Ling opened the door and led them inside.

Tang Sui had just finished showering.

Her damp black hair rested against the loose white bathrobe draped casually over her body.

Leaning comfortably against the sofa, she looked as relaxed as ever.

“My dear daughter.”

“What brings you here?”

Fu Juezhou scoffed.

“Have some shame.”

“There are guests.”

Her gaze swept across Tang Sui’s carelessly tied bathrobe before looking away.

Tang Sui yawned.

“They’re all women.”

Chu Shiqing smiled warmly.

“Please don’t mind me.”

“This is your home.”

Tang Sui’s eyes settled on the wheelchair-bound girl.

“So you’re Shiqing.”

“You’re much more polite than my troublesome daughter.”

Fu Juezhou’s face darkened.

“Tang Sui.”

“Are you asking for trouble?”

Chu Shiqing looked between them thoughtfully.

Fu Juezhou rarely spoke so emotionally.

Perhaps…

Tang Sui occupied a far more important place in her heart than either of them realized.

She introduced herself politely.

“My name is Chu Shiqing.”

“I’m sorry for visiting so suddenly.”

She had expected Tang Sui to resemble the timid, gloomy girl described in every report.

Instead…

The woman before her was stunningly beautiful.

Every smile carried an irresistible charm.

Tang Sui casually crossed one leg over the other.

The movement exposed her fair thighs beneath the loose bathrobe.

For a brief moment…

All three visitors unconsciously looked in the same direction.

Tang Sui noticed immediately.

With an amused smile, she switched legs instead.

Their gazes followed again.

If these protagonists weren’t so resistant to same-sex relationships…

Tang Sui thought she would have succeeded long ago.

“May I call you Shiqing?”

Tang Sui asked softly.

Chu Shiqing nodded.

“Of course.”

She covered her mouth as she coughed lightly.

“I’m sorry.”

“My health isn’t very good.”

A faint flush colored her pale cheeks, making her appear delicate and fragile.

Tang Sui brushed her damp hair behind her shoulder.

“Let’s get to the point.”

“You should head home and rest afterward.”

Fu Juezhou spoke directly.

“I’ll give you one million.”

“Delete the video.”

Tang Sui smiled.

“No.”

“Two million.”

Tang Sui laughed.

“I don’t want your money.”

“I only want my dear daughter to sign a contract.”

She reached beside the sofa.

“I prepared it this morning.”

“I knew you’d come.”

Fu Juezhou’s expression immediately became guarded.

“What kind of contract?”

Tang Sui looked toward Qiao Ling.

“Little Qiao Ling.”

“Bring me the white document and the phone from my bedroom.”

Fu Juezhou sneered.

“Qiao Ling.”

“You’re really taking orders from someone like her?”

Qiao Ling stood up immediately.

She shot Fu Juezhou a cold glance.

“I only let you in because of Shiqing.”

“Don’t talk to me.”

She turned and walked toward the bedroom without another word.

Tang Sui laughed softly.

“See?”

“Qiao Ling is my good friend now.”

“My dear daughter’s awful temper has driven away another friend.”

Fu Juezhou ignored the provocation.

“What exactly does this contract say?”

Tang Sui answered honestly.

“It’s simple.”

“Stop bullying Song Fanxing.”

“I like her very much.”

“The moment you sign it…”

“I’ll delete the video.”

Fu Juezhou stared at her for several silent seconds.

Then she spoke calmly.

“If that’s all…”

“I’ll sign.”

In her eyes, Tang Sui had lost two million yuan just to protect Song Fanxing.

She couldn’t understand why anyone would make such a foolish bargain.
