A Long-Awaited Marriage - Chapter 48
A flash of resentment crossed Su Ang’s face, which then turned into mockery and disdain, before he simply stared at her coldly.
I never expected to run into you here!
Years ago, he caught them in bed together. She knelt and begged him to let her go, pleading with him to grant her and her true love a chance.
In the end, he slapped Cai Qingqing and her lover twice in anger, but still let her go.
That day, Su Zheyan had just turned one year old…
Is this retribution? To have fallen to such a depraved place.
Su Ang curled his lips in disdain. At that moment, Cai Qingqing stood respectfully opposite him with her head bowed.
He worked hard to give her a happy home, but all he got in return was her betrayal.
Perhaps he should thank her; otherwise, he wouldn’t have achieved his current status.
What a foolish woman.
Manager Zhao had been secretly observing Su Ang, noticing that he kept staring at the woman on the far side wearing a light blue silk dress.
Judging by her figure, she’s an absolute stunner.
“Pretentious, but with good taste.” Manager Zhao scoffed inwardly, then nudged Su Ang’s elbow. “President Su, pick one.”
Su Ang snapped out of his thoughts, turned his head and whispered in Manager Zhao’s ear, “Manager Zhao, you’re really intrigued.”
“Let’s go with her.” He said, pointing at Cai Qingqing.
Manager Zhao had an expression of “I knew it,” and then picked out a girl he liked, Zhou Qianqian.
Seeing that the two had made their choices, Jia Xuchun complimented them, saying, “The two bosses have excellent taste.” He cleared his throat and continued, “Cai Qingqing and Zhou Qianqian, please stay.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the remaining girls left the private room one by one.
Upon hearing her name, Cai Qingqing finally looked up. In just one glance, she froze on the spot, her legs feeling like lead, unable to move an inch.
The person opposite her, sitting with his legs crossed and looking at her so coldly, was her ex-husband, Su Ang!
Why is he here? How could he come to a place like this? She didn’t want him to see her embarrassment and her shameful, seductive demeanor!
She had betrayed him back then. She clearly remembered that at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau, Su Ang held the divorce certificate, left with the words “Never to see you again in this life,” and left in anger.
Now she’s become a joke…
Jia Xuchun urged Cai Qingqing somewhat displeasedly, “Qingqing, what are you standing there for? Hurry up and sit down next to President Su!”
Seeing that Cai Qingqing was still standing there motionless, Jia Xuchun smiled apologetically at Su Ang and forcibly pressed Cai Qingqing down to sit next to Su Ang.
He gave Cai Qingqing and Zhou Qianqian a warning, instructing them to serve the guests well. He then tactfully left the “Spring Garden” private room.
As soon as Jia Xuchun left, Zhou Qianqian, with great tact, opened a bottle of champagne, poured it for the two guests, and then held one of the glasses to Manager Zhao’s lips.
Manager Zhao leered at Zhou Qianqian’s slender waist, groping her all over.
Zhou Qianqian pursed her lips, but she wasn’t surprised; few of the men who came here were good people.
Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of Cai Qingqing sitting there like a wooden statue. She wondered, what was wrong with Qingqing today?
If things aren’t handled well, there will be no good consequences. Jia Xuchun is not someone to be trifled with; he’s a true smiling tiger.
Out of a special sisterly bond, Zhou Qianqian kindly reminded her, “Qingqing, what are you daydreaming about? Go get the wine!” After saying that, she winked at Cai Qingqing.
Cai Qingqing snapped out of her daze, carefully picked up the wine glass, and nervously brought it to Su Ang’s lips.
Su Ang looked at her coldly, gave a mocking snort, casually took the wine glass from her hand, took a small sip, and then put it on the table without touching it again.
That icy gaze, that mocking snort—Cai Qingqing felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave. If she had known she would meet him in such a setting, she would never have come.
After a few drinks, Manager Zhao could no longer contain himself and took Zhou Qianqian to the private room that Jia Xuchun had reserved for him.
Only Cai Qingqing and Su Ang remained in the spacious room. A sentimental and romantic song was still playing on the television screen, but the atmosphere in the room was utterly cold.
Su Ang remained silent, simply sitting with his legs crossed, his expression indifferent.
Cai Qingqing felt like dying; she knew Su Ang was punishing and torturing her.
After an unknown amount of time, Cai Qingqing finally gave in. Unable to endure the torment any longer, she forced herself to ask, “Su Ang, is Yan Yan alright?”
Su Ang snorted coldly, “What’s it to you?”
Cai Qingqing became a little anxious, “No matter what I did wrong, I will always be Yan Yan’s mother!”
“Now you know you’re his mother?” Su Ang struggled to control his anger. “All these years, you’ve ignored this son completely. Hah, I bet you don’t even remember what he looks like?”
Do you think I don’t miss him?
