“I have insomnia,” Jiang replied casually, then quickly took a shower. “Let’s go.”

“Aren’t you going to eat something?” Zhou Yichen asked him, leaning against the door frame, his movements quite swift.

Jiang waved her hand casually, “No, I have no appetite.”

“Go ahead and ruin your body! Here, take this!” Zhou Yichen suddenly pulled two steamed buns from his shirt pocket and threw them into Jiang Ye’s arms. “I knew you wouldn’t eat breakfast.”

“You put it in your pocket?” Jiang Ye grabbed one, took a bite, and looked at Zhou Yichen with some surprise.

“What else can I do? I’m afraid it will get cold.”

Jiang suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and teased, “You’re so thoughtful. I wonder which girl will be lucky enough to marry you. What kind of girl do you like, you arrogant guy?”

Zhou Yichen was stunned for a moment, then punched Jiang Ye in the chest. “Jiang Ye, thank you so much! Let’s go now.”

As he spoke, he hooked his arm around Jiang Ye’s neck, as if they had returned to their college years, and the two walked arm in arm toward the garage.

Lu Anran and Ding Shuyao packed their luggage and called a ride-sharing service. Just as they were about to leave, the doorbell rang.

Standing outside the door were Su Ang and his son, as well as their nanny, Zhao Chunlan.

“Aunt Ranran, Aunt Yaoyao!” As soon as the door opened, Su Zheyan excitedly rushed over and hugged Lu Anran and Ding Shuyao.

“Su Ang, what brings you here?” Ding Shuyao asked in surprise.

Su Ang glanced at the two suitcases and secretly rejoiced that they had arrived in time and hadn’t left yet, so there was still hope.

He coughed lightly, “You’re going out? That’s really unfortunate.” Su Ang looked at Lu Anran with feigned difficulty.

Lu Anran nodded, then asked Ding Shuyao, “Yaoyao, how much longer until the ride-sharing car arrives?”

“Almost there, in seven or eight minutes.”

Su Ang became a little anxious and quickly said, “I have to go to Hangzhou on a business trip today and I might not be able to make it back tonight. Su Zheyan kept asking to come and visit you two, so I brought him here.”

Lu Anran and Ding Shuyao exchanged glances. “That’s really unfortunate, we’re about to leave.”

As she spoke, Lu Anran squatted down, put her hands on Su Zheyan’s shoulders, and said gently, “Little Su Zheyan, we can’t play with you today~ You and the nanny stay home obediently, and we’ll bring you a present when we come back, okay?”

Hearing Lu Anran’s words, Su Zheyan pouted in disappointment, “Auntie, where are you going? Can I come with you?”

Lu Anran released Su Zheyan, stood up and looked at Ding Shuyao. This was supposed to be a private time for the two of them, but having a little kid with them made it a bit inconvenient.

Both of them are unmarried young women, and if the children throw a tantrum while they are taking care of someone else’s kids, their mood on the trip will definitely be affected.

Su Zheyan, however, grabbed Lu Anran’s hand and began to plead, “Aunt Ranran, please take me with you! I promise I’ll be a good girl and won’t cause any trouble!”

Lu Anran was in a real bind. If she told Yao Yao that she and Yao Yao were going to Qingcheng Happy Valley, the little guy would definitely cling to them.

If I had been quicker and left a few minutes earlier, I wouldn’t have run into that father and son.

Asking her to help take care of the child wasn’t a big deal, but because of Su Ang, she instinctively wanted to refuse. She had been reckless four years ago, and now she didn’t want to get too involved with Su Ang.

Knowing Lu Anran’s doubts, Su Ang secretly gave Ding Shuyao a wink.

Ah, here it comes again! It’s that look in his eyes. He’s smiling, but why does it feel so scary?

She’s clearly not on his side, is she? She clearly didn’t promise to speak well of him, did she? Why does it feel like I’ve been tricked?

Ding Shuyao thought to herself, it seems she has no choice but to speak.

This trip was suggested by her to help Ranran relax, but Ranran fainted last night because of the shock caused by Jiang Yedu. She couldn’t let Su Zheyan ruin the trip.

“Su Ang, Ranran and I are going to Qingcheng Happy Valley. It’s really inconvenient to bring Su Zheyan along, and we’re not going back until tomorrow! Are you sure you don’t mind him staying with us?”

As soon as Ding Shuyao finished speaking, the little guy’s eyes lit up, and he excitedly shouted, “Happy Valley? I want to go! Daddy, I want to go!”
